DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Embry-Riddle softball moved to a six-game winning streak with a dominant performance over Caldwell on Saturday evening.
The Eagles plated a season-high 11 runs against the Cougars, recording the second run-rule win of the weekend.

HOW IT HAPPENED
1st Inning:
- Embry-Riddle set the tone early with three runs in the opening frame.
- The Eagles went 4-for-4 at the plate to begin the contest with three extra-base hits.
- Emma Wood led with a double followed by back-to-back RBI triples from both Leah Oberkehr and Kendall Wilkie.
- Mattea Martin closed with an RBI single to give ERAU a 3-0 edge.
2nd Inning:
- Embry-Riddle took advantage of a walk, a fielder's choice, an error, and a wild pitch to place runners in scoring position.
- Wood added two to the Eagles' tally with a two-RBI single up the middle for the five-run lead.
3rd Inning:
- Embry-Riddle moved to a 10-0 lead in the third frame with five runs scored on three hits and two Caldwell errors.
- Ava Arnold and Sierra Lipton highlighted the inning with back-to-back doubles to plate a combined four runs.
- Oberkehr followed with a sacrifice fly to score the Eagles' 10th run.
4th Inning:
- ERAU's defense held Caldwell hitless until the top of the fourth inning.
- Shelby Morse closed out the frame with her fifth strikeout of the night to leave a runner on base.
- Addison Orr added one final run to the tally by driving home Martin on an RBI double for the 11-0 lead.
5th Inning:
- Aubrey Yeary relieved Morse with an inning of work, allowing one hit while keeping the Cougars scoreless.
INSIDE THE STATS
- The Eagles finished with six extra-base hits from six different individuals.
- Wood went 2-for-3 from the plate with a double and two RBI.
- Martin went 2-for-2 from the plate with a walk and an RBI.
- Four different Eagles notched two RBI each as part of the team's total of 11.
