DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Embry-Riddle softball fell to No. 6-ranked Saint Leo on Thursday night in a narrow 1-0 loss in Daytona Beach.
The Eagles struggled offensively, producing just four hits and leaving six total runners on base.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Saint Leo scored in the second frame after a scoreless opening inning as the Lions led with a triple from Izzy LaRoche and scored on an RBI single down the line.
- SLU finished the inning with three hits and one left on base as the ERAU defense turned a 1-4 double play to close the frame.
- Embry-Riddle put together two runners on base in the second with a two-out single from Addison Orr followed by a walk from Ava Arnold, but the pair were left stranded.
- The Eagles followed up in the third inning with a leadoff single from Sierra Lipton and a base hit from Leah Oberkehr.
- A sacrifice bunt from Emma Wood would move both runners into scoring position but a strikeout and ground out closed the inning with two more runners left on base for the Eagles.
- Both teams were held scoreless for the remainder of the game with ERAU recording one final hit from Mattea Martin in the sixth.
