DAVIE, Fla – For the first time in program history the Embry-Riddle women's tennis team will be playing for a Sunshine State Conference title. After receiving a bye in the first round thanks to their No. 2 tournament seed in the six-team SSC tournament, the second-ranked Eagles took down the No. 3 seed Florida Southern 4-0 on Saturday to advance to Sunday's title match.

How it Happened:
• The Eagles took a 1-0 lead after doubles, winning two of the three doubles contests.

Laura Cuesta Bret and
Amelie Gindl fell 6-1 to Kennedie Brown and Josie Holderbach at No. 1.
• For the second straight meeting,
Ashley Moinard and
Mariana Cabrera recorded a 6-2 win against Annika Berrendorf and Jolie Miller at No. 3.

Benedetta Sensi and
Daniela Fernandez Junquera topped Ronja Scheurmann and Emily Jennewein on court two to clinch the doubles point.
• It took Sensi just 1:18 to grab the first singles point with her 6-2, 6-3 defeat of Jennewein at the third position.
• Fernandez Junquera was next off the court with a 6-1, 6-3 win over Berrendorf at No. 4 singles.

Franziska Kremerskothen secured the win for the Blue and Gold, topping Diana Volkov 6-1, 6-2 on court six.
