DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. — Embry-Riddle (2-0-1) controlled a majority of the match on Monday evening and earned their second conseuctive win with a 2-1 victory over Southern New Hampshire University (0-2-0). All three goals in the game were scored within an eight-minute stretch in a second half that was much more end-to-end.
First Half
The Eagles put immediate pressure on SNHU, getting two shots off in the opening 10 minutes. ERAU continued to search for the opening goal, outshooting the Penmen 10-0 in the first half. The Blue and Gold recorded a season-high of 17 shots in the game, putting nine of those shots on goal.
Lauryn Mateo got off to a bright start, recording the first two shots on goal in the 12th and 14th minutes.
Ebba Fjordskaer quickly followed Mateo's shot with another effort at 16:37, but was denied as well. Isabel Hughes made six saves in the first 45 minutes to keep the game scoreless despite Embry-Riddle's six shots on target and seven corner kicks.
Second Half
Berglind Thrastardottir opened the scoring in the second half when she scored directly from a corner kick, the second time ERAU has done that this season. SNHU quickly responded, leveling the score at 1–1 in the 60th minute with their first shot on goal. Emma Noheimer played a ball over the top of the Eagles' defense and Avary Hall curled her shot into the bottom corner. Thrastardottir secured the win for ERAU with a decisive goal in the 64th minute, assisted by Fjordskaer who had beaten her defender and rolled a cross along the six-yard box for the senior to finish and restore the Blue and Gold's lead less than five minutes after the equalizer. The Eagles would continue to search for an insurance goal but were denied by the crossbar in the 75th minute when Mateo's effort deflected behind for a goal kick. ERAU were able to see out the rest of the game and did not give up another good opportunity to the Penmen, earning the team's second consecutive win.

- Fjordskaer provided an assist on the game-winning goal, making it back-to-back games that she has recorded a goal or an assist.
- Mateo recorded a career-high seven shots, forcing a pair of saves from the Penmen goalkeeper. The seven shots are the most by an Eagle since 2023.
