RV Men’s Golf Concludes Opening Rounds at Griffin Invitational

HOWEY-IN-THE-HILLS, Fla. – After two rounds of opening day action on Monday, RV Embry-Riddle men's golf sits ninth out of 10 teams at the Griffin Invitational in Howey-In-The-Hills, Fla.

The Eagles put together a two-round total of 593 (+17) at the 7,015-yard, par 72, El Campeon Course at the Mission Resort + Club.
 
Ian Ball led the way for ERAU, carding back-to-back even-par rounds of 72 to finish tied for 12th, posting four birdies for the day. Ball finished the day tied sixth in scoring on par 4s, averaging 3.95 (-1) and closing with 28 total pars.
 
As a team, ERAU posted an average score of even-par on par 5s, ranking sixth in the field. The Eagles totaled 21 birdies for the two rounds and tallied 137 pars.
 
ERAU finished round one tied for seventh, posting a 294 (+6) and followed with a 294 (+11) in the second round. Ryan Gear joined Ball in round one with an even-par opening score but fell to T-29th individually after posting a four-over 76 in round two.
 
Christian Molina posted rounds of 76 (+4) and 75 (+3) to close out day one with a two-round total of 151 (+7) and a T-41st placement on the individual leaderboard. Edoardo Scialanga and Roan Smith both finished T-50th with two-round scores of 155 (+11). Scialanga posted a two-over 74 in round one but slipped up in round two with an 81 (+9). Smith carded scores of 79 (+7) and 76 (+4).
 
Rafa Guerrero round out the Eagles' lineup with scores of 78 (+6) and 79 (+7) to land at T-56th with a two-round total of 157 (+13).
