DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. — Embry-Riddle (FL) (4-0-4, 0-0-2) tied Barry (6-0-2, 0-0-2) 2-2 on Saturday in the team's first home game of the SSC season. All four goals came in the first half, when ERAU outshot the Bucs 8-5 and had three corner kicks to the Bucs' one. The teams finished even with nine shots apiece, with the Eagles putting three shots on goal.
 

Barry entered the contest having not conceded a goal the entire season, but the Blue and Gold seemed unphased. ERAU scored two goals in the first 12 minutes of the game with the opener coming from Molly Metcalfe who scored at 9:19, marking her first goal of the season. Metcalfe was open along the back post after a corner kick taken by Berglind Thrastardottir. Less than three minutes later, Ebba Fjordskaer had an identical goal from a corner kick on the opposite side by Agnes Vigholm. However, the Buccaneers responded with a set piece goal of their own at 27:03 from Allyssia Merisier who had just come off the bench moments earlier. Merisier's instant impact continued as she provided an assist in the final minute of the opening half to send the game to halftime at 2-2.
 

The Buccaneers recorded four shots to ERAU's one in a scoreless second half, with Stella Roane making two saves to keep the match level. Roane's best save came at 75:51 when she was able to deny Laura Rodriguez in a one-on-one situation to keep the game even at two. The tension of the game began to rise as the game went on with each team looking to find a game-winner, seeing 11 fouls and five yellow cards brandished in the final 45 minutes. 
 

- Molly Metcalfe scored her first career goal with Embry-Riddle on her first shot on goal of the season.

- Berglind Thrastardottir now leads the team with three assists this season and has played 90 minutes in three consecutive matches.

- Ebba Fjordskaer has scored a team-high four goals. She has scored or assisted in five of the team's eight matches during the year.

- Agnes Vigholm played all 90 minutes for the first time this season and provided her second assist of the campaign.
 

Embry-Riddle will take head down to Winter Park, Florida on Wednesday, Sept. 23 at 7 p.m. when they visit their rivals, Rollins at Barker Family Stadium. The match will also be broadcasted on the SSC Digital Network.
