DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. — Embry-Riddle (5-1-2, 1-1-1) faced its first defeat of the season as Rollins (4-2-1, 2-1-0) took the victory 1-0 on Wednesday at Embry-Riddle Soccer Stadium.
A first half goal from Rollins' leading goal scorer, Finlay Prain, was the difference in the game. The overcast skies of the first half gave way to persistent heavy rain throughout the second half of the game. Despite the Eagles generating late pressure with seven shots and two corner kicks from 73:56 to 83:04, the score remained 1-0. Embry-Riddle finished with an 18-15 shot advantage and put six attempts on goal, however, Rollins became the first team this season to hold the Eagles scoreless.
First Half

Marcos da Silva saved a Pedro Lameiras shot at 3:29 before the Eagles put consecutive attempts on frame from
Riley Aldana and
Jonas Banouas, both saved by Kilian Vallant.
- Rollins moved ahead 1-0 at 11:43 on Finlay Prain's goal, then added three shots over the next two minutes.
- ERAU created two corner kicks and two shots from 17:18 to 22:26, including a
Colin Bailey attempt saved by Vallant.
- Rollins recorded four shots in a 1:14 span midway through the half, but Embry-Riddle generated the late pressure with shots from
Louis Dolcini,
Jhamaleek Porter and
Mattia Motzo before Rollins held the 1-0 lead at halftime.
Second Half
- The Eagles kept the margin at 1-0 early in the half, earning a corner at 55:22 before Banouas put a shot out at 60:40.
- Rollins created the next major chances, with da Silva saving shots at 64:23 and 66:28 before another Rollins attempt hit the left woodwork at 69:46.
- ERAU pushed from 73:56 to 83:04 with seven shots and two corners, including
Joseph Ben-Ezra's saved shot at 76:56.
- Rollins generated a late shot and corner after 87:00 and added another shot at 89:48, finishing the match with a 1-0 win.
