MELBOURNE, Fla. — Embry-Riddle (5-1-4, 1-1-2) had their nine-game unbeaten run come to an end on Wednesday evening as No. 1 Florida Tech (8-0-2, 3-0-2) earned a 3-0 win. ERAU finished with eight shots, two on goal, and five corner kicks along with hitting the post but were unable to beat the Panthers goalkeeper.

First Half
The two rivals got off to a quick start with three shots and a pair of corner kicks in the first three minutes, but neither goalkeeper was required to make a save. The first save came at 9:21 when Mette Brandes saved Emma Johnson's effort. At 20:21, Florida Tech opened the scoring through Charlotte Waibel as she looped a header in the top corner off of a corner kick. ERAU looked for a quick response from Berglind Thrastardottir but she also saw her shot saved by Brandes. Stella Roane made three saves across the final 15 minutes of the half to send the game to halftime at 1-0.

Florida Tech won a penalty kick which was converted by Alice Mottershead at 54:42 to double the Panthers' lead. There were only two shots on goal in the final 30 minutes of the contest with Roane able to make a save in the 64th minute but she was unable to stop Ellinor Blaasternes from sealing the game at 3-0 at 80:56.
