matches...dropped at total of only four games in his four victories...defeated St.
Thomas' Oscar Marquez (6-0, 6-1) and Webber International's Reyne Hospedales
(6-1, 6-0) to reach the quarterfinal round of the ITA Florida Regional...also
collected wins against NCAA I Troy's Tyler Stephens (6-1, 6-0) and Aurilien
Tave (6-0, 6-1) in the Auburn Fall Classic (Nov. 20-22).
As A Junior in 2008-09: Recipient of an Embry-Riddle
Champion of Character scholarship...compiled a 5-2 overall record, including a
2-0 mark in dual match play...topped David Shelton of Oklahoma Baptist 6-4, 6-4
at No. 6 singles (Mar. 18)...earned a shutout in his only match at No. 1 singles,
defeating Warner's LJ Lopez 6-0, 6-0 (Mar. 30). Fall 2008: Notched wins in three of his five matches...earned his
first win of the year in the ERAU Open (Sept. 19), topping Florida Southern's
William Wold 5-7, 6-3, 6-2...won both matches in the consolation bracket of the
ITA Region (Oct. 3-5), besting Webber International's Manuel Celleri 6-0, 6-2
and blanking Warner Southern's David Shelton 6-0, 6-0...partnered with Sean de la
Bastide in three matches and Luke Maricic twice for a 2-3 overall doubles
record...Perez and de la Bastide defeated the Florida Southern duo of Kirk Kucin
and Wold 8-2 at the ERAU Open...second doubles win came when paired with Maricic
against Webber International's Celleri and Ariel Cachan (9-7).
As A Sophomore in 2007-08: Finished at 1-3 overall...topped
Webber International's Ignacio Cachan 6-2, 6-0 in the consolation bracket of
the ITA Regional...went 3-3 in doubles play...all three wins came when paired with
Sean De La Bastide... the duo collected wins against Bethune Cookman pair of Luis
Gomes and Terry Powell and Florida Southern's Heartt and JJ Bolock.
As A Freshman in 2006-07: Academic All-Conference...ITA
