Biography
Fall 2013: Ranked 27th in the ITA/NAIA national singles preseason poll…won two matches in regional tournament play on the way to a 2-4 fall singles record…downed Northwood’s Julia Ferraz 6-0, 6-2 and SCAD Savannah’s Carolina Viteri 6-1, 6-0 to advance to the USTA/ITA Regional tournament quarterfinal…ranked No. 1 in the ITA/NAIA national doubles poll in tandem with Hui-I Huang…the duo posted an 8-1 doubles ledger in the fall…lost a tough match (9-7) to 2013 regional doubles champions Maria Barragan and Daniela Arcila in the regional semifinals…the tandem earned an at-large bid to the USTA/ITA National Small College Championships and after topping St. Thomas’ Tetiana Kovalska and Gabriela Bongiovanni 6-4, 6-4 in the play-in match, they won three matches in three days to capture the 2013 ITA/NAIA national doubles crown.
As A junior in 2012-13: Second team NAIA All-American…ITA All-American in singles and doubles…named to the All-Sun Conference first team…Capital One First Team Academic All-American...ITA Scholar-Athlete…NAIA-Daktronics Scholar-Athlete…Academic All-Conference selection…recipient of ERAU’s Steve & Vicky Ridder Scholarship…an ERAU Champions of Character scholarship recipient… named to the ERAU Athletics President’s team, which recognizes student-athletes with a 3.5 or better GPA for the academic year…wrapped up her junior campaign listed at No. 14 singles and No. 2 in doubles (with Hui-I Huang) in the final ITA/NAIA rankings…earned a team high 18 wins and finished with an 18-10 overall record and a 5-1 ledger in league play…was 12-2 at the No. 2 spot in the ERAU lineup and was 14-7 in dual match play…posted three shutouts on the year…scored the clinching point in the Eagles’ wins against Northwestern Ohio (Mar. 29), Webber International (Apr. 3) and Warner (Apr. 6)…went on a four-match unbeaten streak to finish the season and was 8-1 in her last 10 contests of the year…Marova and Huang were 19-11 as a doubles team…the duo closed out the season on a 3-0 winning streak, which included an 8-5 upset of Xavier‘s(La.) top-ranked team of Kourtney Howell and Brion Flowers (May 16). Fall 2012: Tied teammate Hui-l Huang for team-leading 4-3 rcord…partnered with Huang for a 5-2 doubles record…the duo enters the spring ranked No.4 in the nation after taking third place in the USTA/ITA National Small College Championships…the pair upset the third-seeded duo of Lillian Ferriera and Mariana Rosa of Oklahoma Baptist 6-4, 6-3.
As a Sophomore in 2011-12: First team All-Conference selection…CoSIDA Academic All-District…Academic All-Conference…ranked No. 42 in final ITA national poll of the year…played most singles matches at the No. 4 spot, compiling a 14-6 record at that position and a 21-8 record overall…one of two ERAU players to finish with a 7-0 conference record…earned Sun Conference Player of the Week honors on Apr. 9…partnered with Paola Montero for a 22-5 doubles record…only duo to record six doubles wins in conference play…earned a 19-4 doubles record at the No. 3 position…the duo registered 7 shutouts and finished the 2012 season with 7 straight victories. Fall 2011: Ranked 28th in the ITA/NAIA national preseason singles poll…turned in a 4-1 singles record…bested Southeastern’s Wendy Reade (6-1, 6-0) and St. Thomas’ Emilia Vuorela (6-1, 6-4) to get to the quarterfinals of the USTA/ITA Regional tournament (Sept. 30-Oct. 2)…teamed up with Paola Montero for a 2-1 doubles record…Marova and Montero played their way into the semifinals of the USTA/ITA Florida Regional where they fell to teammates Yi Ching Chen and Josefine Strom 6-0, 6-3 (Oct. 1)…the pair was 14th in the national preseason poll.
As A Freshman in 2010-11: Began competition with the Eagles in the spring…first team All-Conference selection…achieved a No. 35 national ranking in the final ITA/NAIA poll of 2011…finished at 16-6 overall, which included a 5-0 conference record…was 12-5 at No. 4 singles and 3-1 at the No. 3 spot…clinched the Eagles’ win against Oklahoma Christian (Mar. 17) with a 6-4, 6-2 defeat of Maryfer Abreu-Roman…won seven matches in a row from Mar. 16 to Mar. 23…blanked Webber International’s Holly Parnell 6-0, 6-0 to help ERAU secured the conference regular season title…partnered with Paolo Montero for a 20-3 doubles record…the duo played all 23 matches at the No. 3 doubles position and was 4-0 in The Sun Conference…Marova and Montero registered 12 shutouts and ended the 2011 campaign on a 13-match winning streak.
Prep: Graduated from Obchodni Akademie Stribroin 2010…touted as one of the top 50 juniors and the top 65 women in the Czech Republic…achieved a No. 4 national ranking in the Under-14 Girls category…advanced to the doubles final at ITF in Malta.
