Fall 2015: Competed in three fall tournaments, going 8-3 in singles and 6-3 in doubles with Roberto Cuellar as his doubles partner…played his way to the consolation title in Flight 4 at the West Florida Fall Fling, topping Loyola New Orleans’ Sebastien Gomez 6-4, 6-1 in the final (Oct. 18)…finished third in the Cookman Flight at the Juan Varon Wildcat Invitational with an 8-0 shutout of Palm Beach Atlantic’s Fernando Arroyo (Oct. 30).
 
As A Junior in 2014-15: Academic All-Sun Conference honoree…named to the ERAU Athletics President’s Team…was 3-3 in singles and 1-5 in doubles...Fall 2014: Turned in a 3-3 singles ledger…earned a pair of three-set wins at the ERAU Open (Sept. 10-12), holding off Florida Southern’s Matt Matsuyann (3-6, 6-4, 7-6 (4)) and Blaine Miller (5-7, 6-2, 6-4).
 
As A Sophomore in 2013-14: ITA Academic All-American…Academic All-Conference…named to the ERAU Athletics President’s Team…went 2-8 in his first season of college competition…notched a 2-3 record at the No. 6 spot…earned both wins in conference play…topped Webber International’s Patricio Henning 6-1, 7-5 (April 3) and Ave Maria’s Zachary Sadusky 6-1, 6-1 (April 5)… Fall 2013: Competed in two fall tournaments…was 0-5 in singles play…partnered with Luke de Caires for a 4-2 doubles record.
 
As A Freshman in 2012-13: Named to the ERAU Athletics President’s team, which recognizes student-athletes with a 3.5 or better GPA for the academic year.
 
Prep: Graduated from Dr. Knippenberg College in in 2011…trained at the Saddlebrook Tennis Academy in Tampa, Fla. …competed in USTA and Super Series tournaments…ranked among the top 500 junior players in Florida.
 
Personal: Born in Helmond, in the Netherlands on Aug. 25, 1993…parents are Ton Verberne and Patricia Adriaans…majoring in Aerospace Engineering.
