Biography
2019-20 (Junior): Finished fourth in the “B” V8+ boat at the Hatter Invitational with a time of 10:54.4 (Oct. 26)…also took second in the “B” V4+ boat in 11:38.5 at the same regatta (Oct. 26)…placed sixth in the “B” Championship 4+ boat in 17:41.6 at the Head of the South (Nov. 9)…also finished ninth in the “B” Championship 8+ boat at the same regatta in 16:57.3 (Nov. 9)…clocked an 8:09.09 in ERAU’s “B” V8+ boat at the Jacksonville Dual (March 7).
2018-19 (Sophomore): Helped the Championship 8+ boat to a third-place result in 14:11.132 at the Head of the Hooch (Nov. 3)...posted a second-place time of 6:39.83 in the JV 8 race and a fourth-place time of 7:24.24 in the JV 4 race at the FIRA Championships (April 6).
2017-18 (Freshman): Clocked a 6:04.6 in the 1V8 boat in a dual meet with Florida Tech (March 3)…helped the Varsity 8 boat defeat Rollins at TARS Regatta in 5:52.7 (March 14)…won a state title with the Freshman/Novice 4+ boat at the FIRA Championships with a time of 7:09.40 (April 7)…finished 11th in the JV 8+ boat at the SIRA Championships in 5:45.027 (April 21).
Prep: Graduated from Moore Catholic High School in 2017.
Personal: Born in Orlando, Florida…son of Karen and Chris Thornburgh…majoring in Aviation Business Administration.
