Biography
2020-21 (Sophomore): Took second in the “B” boat in Varsity Four (7:50.36) at the FIRA Championships (April 3)…placed fifth in the “B” boat in Varsity Eight as well… recorded a second-place result (6:38.32) in the second Varsity Eight race at the Stetson Invitational (April 10)…also nabbed third in the Varsity Four (7:00.78).
2019-20 (Freshman): Placed second in the “A” V8+ boat the Hatter Invitational with a time of 9:56.0 (Oct. 26)…also finished fifth in the “C” V4+ race at the same regatta in 12:35.9 (Oct. 26)…won the Collegiate and Club 8+ race in 16:22.0 at the Head of the South (Nov. 9)…also took fourth in the Championship 8+ race (15:23.9) at the same regatta (Nov. 9)…finished second in the “A” V8+ boat at the Jacksonville Dual in 7:29.6 (March 7).
Prep: Graduated from Los Alamitos High School in 2019…co-captain of Long Beach Junior Crew…finished second at Youth Nationals in the lightweight men’s double in 2018…finished third at the Presidents’ Day Regatta in the men’s novice double in 2015.
Personal: Born in Long Beach, California…son of James Friedrichs and Plushette Lofton…majoring in Aeronautical Science.
