ERAU baseball alumnus Greg Smith returns to the Blue and Gold program as an assistant coach in 2014.
Smith played two seasons with the Eagles after transferring from South Florida Community College. His first season wearing the Blue and Gold saw the Clermont, Fla. native earn 48 starts in 55 games in the Eagle outfield. He had a .301 average from the dish and finished among the Eagles’ top five in stolen bases (25) and runs scored (47) to go with 36 walks and 20 RBIs. His senior campaign saw Smith earn first team All-Sun Conference honors after hitting .347 with 10 doubles, three triples, 44 walks, 29 stolen bases and 29 RBIs as the Embry-Riddle leadoff man.
Smith graduated in the spring of 2013 with a Bachelor’s degree in Homeland Security and is currently pursuing a Master’s in Leadership.
