RIDDER REFLECTS:"I love talking about Ben because I have known him longer than any other player except for my son Ryan. Ben has always been a very smart and composed player who is very unselfish. He sees the floor as good, if not better, than anyone we have ever had in our program. He can make everyone else better. We also look for him to be a great leader on defense. His size, his strength, his athletic ability, we will look for him to shut down our opponents best offensive player. He's a threat at the three, he can score, he can rebound for a two guard, again bringing great experience having been in our program for four years. He's one of the very best leaders in our program on and off the floor."2004-05: Averaged 6.6 points playing in all 34 contests and earned 20 starts....recorded double-figure scoring efforts in five of his last seven games including a career-high 16 points in the FSC tournament semifinals vs. Florida Memorial on Feb. 25...connected on 43.6 percent of his shots from the floor (79-for-181)...was second on the team in assists behind Pickett with 126 (3.7 apg)...registered the ERAU single-game record for assists with his career-high 15 against Lyndon State (Vt.) on Nov. 5...finished third in the FSC with a 1.9 assist/turnover ratio...recorded a career-high eight rebounds against both SCAD (Jan. 29) and Flagler (Feb. 9)...used his quickness and long arms to record 20 blocks from the guard spot and added 35 steals.
2003-04: Played his best basketball toward the end of the season before ending the year slowed by injury in the final three games...showed flashes of his offensive prowess posting season-high 13-point efforts against Mt. St. Mary (N.Y.) and King (Tenn.) in December...gained more valuable playing time at the end of the season averaging double-figures in minutes against Florida Memorial (seven assists and three steals), Flagler (seven points) and Warner Southern (nine points and three assists), before getting injured.
