Wesley Simpson moved from the court to the bench for the Embry-Riddle men's basketball program prior to the 2023-24 campaign. A native of DeLand, Simpson played for the Eagles as a graduate transfer in 2022-23, helping the Blue and Gold to its third consecutive NCAA II National Tournament appearance. Simpson started in 17 games, playing in 27, while averaging 6.1 points and 4.9 rebounds in 20.8 minutes on the year.
From 2018-22 Simpson played for four seasons with the Georgia College Bobcats, earning his degree in Economics. He was a two-time All-Peach Belt Conference selection and three-time All-PBC Academic Team honoree, as well as a three-time Peach Belt Conference Player of the Week. Simpson led the Bobcats to the NCAA II National Tournament as a senior, averaging 14.0 points, 6.7 rebounds, and 3.7 assists.
Simpson is currently pursuing his MBA at Embry-Riddle.
