Biography
Ridder’s Remarks: “Daniel is very consistent in that he brings tremendous work ethic and intelligence to our program everyday. Although he will be redshirting this year, he’s going have a tremendous impact on our program, helping our guys get better everyday in practice.”
As A Sophomore in 2007-08: Provided depth at the post position....appeared in 15 games and averaged 5.9 minutes each contest...contributed 1.8 points and 1.7 rebounds per game...tallied eight points on 3-of-4 shooting against Trinity College (Nov. 19)...scored six points and grabbed six rebounds against Philadelphia Biblical...also had six boards against College of the Bahamas (Nov. 2).
As a Freshman in 2006-07: Played in 12 games...closed out the season with 10 rebounds, two assists and two steals in 44 minutes...played 19 minutes against Albany College of Pharmacy (Jan. 2), grabbing six rebounds, five of which were on the defensive end...Academic All-Conference selection.
High School: 2006 graduate of Park Hill High School...played through several injuries...graduated third in class of 378...also lettered in baseball.
Personal: Majoring in Aerospace Engineering and Engineering Physics...born July 2, 1987, in North Kansas City, Missouri...son of Brian and Jennifer Blake.
Reason for Choosing Embry-Riddle: “It has the top-ranked Aerospace Engineering program in the country and a great basketball program. It's close to NASA so I thought it would be an ideal place to go to school so I could work for them one day.”
