RIDDER REFLECTS:"I think Michael is a program changer, he came in here last year and has been one of the top two players in the league and one of the best in the country as an All-American. Tremendous intensity to play the game. Great competitor, great rebounder, and has learned to be a tremendous offensive rebounder which has added to his offensive scoring ability. Gets to the basket, can draw fouls, he can run the floor, finish plays, and he does a great job in traffic. Catching it, finishing it, or sticking it back in with an offensive rebound, and he's definitely our go to guy no question. I know he came here to win championships and to graduate from Embry-Riddle and I know he has big plans for what this team can accomplish in his senior year and I'm just really excited about having him on our team. He worked hard all summer long and is in good physical shape and mentally mature and again will be one of our four seniors that will provide excellent leadership this year."2004-05: Started in all 34 games, recording 11 double-doubles averaging 16.3 points to earn NAIA third-team All-American and All-FSC honors...recorded double-figure scoring efforts in all but three games...scored a career-high 33 points on Feb. 2 against Warner Southern hitting 12-for-15 from the floor...led the league in rebounding (8.2 per game) and field goal percentage (.550)...became third Eagle to claim FSC Newcomer of the Year honors (joining Jason Cruse (1998-99) and Luis Chavez-Jacobo (2003-04)...recorded a career-high 14 boards vs. Weber International (Feb. 5)...posted career-best four blocks vs. Warner Southern (Feb. 2)...despite being an interior player, recorded 22 three-pointers...earned FSC Player of the Week selection three times...named to the Daytona Mitsubishi Shootout All-Tournament Team.
2003-04: Led Florida Tech in scoring averaging 13.8 points, while adding 4.6 rebounds and shot 46.5 percent from the floor...posted three 20-plus scoring efforts in 14 games with 13 starts in including a season-high 23 in the season-opening game against Rio Piedras...appeared in one game against arch-rival Flagler College recording five points and five rebounds fouling out in 21 minutes of action.
