After a memorable four-year career running for the Blue and Gold from 2007-2010, Henry Melius joins the men’s and women’s cross country coaching staffs for the 2011 season.
Melius, a native of Nokesville, Va., was an All-Region XIV performer as a freshman before earning All-Conference distinction during his sophomore season. Melius was twice named a Daktronics-NAIA Scholar Athlete (2009-10) and earned Academic All-Sun Conference honors all four years he ran for the Eagles (2007-10), joining teammate Russell Snyder as the only two Eagle cross country runners to do so in program history.
Melius owns the 18th fastest time in Embry-Riddle history (25:15.31), a feat he accomlished at the Charles Bowles Invitational (Oct. 3, 2009). He is the fifth fastest runner at ERAU since the program’s inception in 1999.
Melius graduated in 2011 with a degree in Aeronautical Science and resides in Daytona Beach.
