"Transfer from Cal Poly comes with some great experience and fantastic short game. Has a great understanding of himself as far as knowing how he wants to play the game and is determined to play an enjoyable strong game. He is a hard-working guy and has a fantastic short game and great understanding of what it takes to be competitive, so I think he is going to bring some great leadership there."

At Cal-Poly, 2002-03: Was a member of the Cal Poly men's golf team as a freshman where he posted a 78.1 scoring average in three tournaments...career-best effort was 27th at the Sac State Invitational (83-75-79=237)...posted a career-low 72 in the first round of the CP Fidelity National Title Intercollegiate tying for 33rd (72-78-77=227)...shared 57th at the 49er Collegiate Classic/CSULB (75-79-82=236).

High School: Graduated from San Ramon Valley in 2002 where he was a four-year letterwinner...was an All-East Bay Athletic League selection all four years...won the Baja California Classic..earned Player of the Year honors in 2002...NCGA Amateur qualifier.

Personal: Majoring in Aeronautical Science...chose Embry-Riddle to fly...born in Santa Ana, Calif. on January 12, 1984...son of Phillip and Mary Hartman...sister Anna (19) plays golf for NCAA DII Lenoir-Rhyne in Hickory, N.C.
