2018: Appeared in all 13 games, starting 11…totaled 27 ground balls, eight caused turnovers, seven faceoff wins, and an assist…picked up season-high four ground balls and won season-high four faceoffs against Florida Southern (April 21).
 
PREP: 2017 graduate of Wesclin High School...played for coaches Zac Bilyeu and Jim McIntyre...four-year varsity starter...first team All-State and first team All-Conference as a junior and senior...named the team MVP and Defensive MVP...served as team captain for two years...also participated in hockey and cross country.

PERSONAL: Born in Tacoma, Washington...son of Jennifer and Robert Nielsen...majoring in Aeronautical Science.
