Biography
2021-22 (Senior): Bested numerous NCAA I boats to finish sixth (17:12.294) in Collegiate Fours at the Head of the Charles (Oct. 24)…grabbed a third-place finish (15:54.8) in Championship 4+ and fourth-place result (14:50.3) in Championship 8+ at the Head of the South (Nov. 13)…won in Varsity 4 (7:06.7) at the Tars Regatta (March 5)…earned a runner-up placement (6:06.8) in Varsity 8 at Stetson (March 12)…picked up another second-place result in Varsity 8 (6:29.5) at Florida Tech (March 19)…helped the Eagles win the overall title at the FIRA Championships (April 2) for the first time with silver medals in Varsity 4 (6:45.80) and Varsity 8 (6:10.89)…earned a trophy for the Eagles by winning in Varsity 4 (7:01.573) at the SIRA Championships (April 16)…put his name in the Embry-Riddle record books with a program-record time of 6:25.054 in Varsity 4 during a semifinal race at the Dad Vail Regatta (May 14)…later finished fifth with a 6:27.966 in the final.
2020-21 (Junior): Grabbed a third-place finish of 7:20.73 in the “A” Varsity Four boat at the Florida Intercollegiate Rowing Association Championships (April 3)…also finished fourth in ERAU’s “A” boat in Varsity Eight (7:07.36)…improved at the Stetson Invitational (April 10) with a 6:27.22 to finish third in Varsity Eight…stopped the clock at 7:00.78 to also place third in the Varsity Four.
2019-20 (Sophomore): Placed second in the “A” V8+ boat at the Hatter Invitational with a time of 9:56.0 (Oct. 26)…also finished third in the “A” V4+ race at the same regatta in 11:45.5 (Oct. 26)…took fourth in the Championship 4+ boat (17:15.7) and fourth in the Championship 8+ race (15:23.9) at the Head of the South (Nov. 9)…finished second in the “A” V8+ boat at the Jacksonville Dual in 7:29.6 (March 7).
2018-19 (Freshman): Coxswained the 8+ boat to a third-place result in 14:11.132 at the Head of the Hooch (Nov. 3)...took fourth place in 15:16.4 in the 8+ Championship race at the Head of the South (Nov. 10)...earned a pair of third-place finishes at the FIRA Championships with times of 6:43.27 in the Varsity 4 boat and 6:03.60 in the Varsity 8 boat (April 6)...helped the Varsity 8+ team win the "B" final in 6:15.79 at the SIRA Championships (April 20).
Prep: Graduated from Creekside High School in 2015…was the captain of his varsity team…graduated cum laude.
Personal: Born in Corpus Christi, Texas…son of Kaylin and Andrew Palmer…majoring in Aerospace Engineering…volunteered at H.E.A.L. (Healing Every Autistic Life) Summer Camp Group.
