Biography

2022-23 (Senior): Began the season as the coxswain for men’s rowing with a third-place result (24:26.9) in a 6,000-meter race at Jacksonville (Oct. 29)…moved to the women’s program where she served as the coxswain in Fours for 18 races…directed her boat to seven wins and three medals…started the spring with a pair of dual victories against both Rollins (Mar. 4) and Barry (Mar. 11)…bested the Buccaneers again with a time of 8:49.6 at the program’s first-ever home dual (Mar. 25)…grabbed a gold in JV Fours (7:45.12) and a silver in DII Fours (7:53.18) at the FIRA Championships (April 1), aiding the program to its third-straight top-2 placement in the overall standings at the event...set a program-record time of 7:19.350 in the Fours time trial at SIRA (Apr. 15)…placed second (7:50.3) at the Sunshine State Conference Championship (Apr. 28) to help the Eagles defend their conference crown…grabbed a bronze medal at the Dad Vail Regatta (May 13), finishing at 8:05.602…competed at the NCAA II Championship (May 26-27).

2021-22 (Junior): Won in the Collegiate and Club Novice 4+ at the Head of the South (Nov. 13) with a 16:57.5…claimed a victory at the Tars Regatta (March 5) in Varsity 4 “B” (7:35.0)…earned a runner-up placement (6:55.2) in Varsity 4 at Stetson (March 12)…finished second (7:18.8) in Varsity 4 at Florida Tech (March 19)…helped the Eagles win the overall title at the FIRA Championships (April 2) for the first time with a silver medal in Varsity 4 ‘B’ (7:16.48).

2020-21 (Sophomore): Took second in the “B” boat in Varsity Four (7:50.36) at the FIRA Championships (April 3)…placed fifth in the “B” boat in Varsity Eight as well…recorded a second-place result (6:38.32) in the second “B” Varsity Eight race at the Stetson Invitational (April 10)…also nabbed a fourth-place finish (8:02.86) in the “B” boat in Varsity Four.

2019-20 (Freshman): Took fifth in the “C” V8+ boat at the Hatter Invitational with a time of 11:45.9 (Oct. 26)…also posted a 13:47.6 in the novice 8+ boat at the same regatta (Oct. 26)…finished 11th in the Club 4+ event at the Head of the South in 19:25.5 (Nov. 9)…clocked an 8:09.09 in ERAU’s “B” V8+ boat at the Jacksonville Dual (March 7).

Prep: Graduated from Cedar Creek High School…member of the National Honor Society, French Honor Society, Dance Honor Society, Tri-M Music Honor Society, and Thespian Society… Distinguished Varsity Scholar all four years of high school…third in the state in the women’s JV double in 2017.

Personal: Born in Mullica Township, New Jersey…daughter of George and Charrise Mathis…majoring in Astronomy & Astrophysics
