Biography
2024-25 (Sophomore): Bested Rollins and Florida in eights at the Rollins Invitational (March 9)…also was victorious in the V4 ‘B’ race over the Tars…took bronze in the lightweight four shell at the FIRA Championships (March 29) to aid the Eagles in capturing a second-straight state title.
2023-24 (Freshman): Participated in a team-high 14 races...earned four medals (three gold and one bronze), and won two races in the fours and two in eights...took first in the eights at Head of the Schuylkill (Oct. 28) with a 12:12.479...placed first in the FIRA Championships 2,000m in Sarasota (March 29-30) in the eights with a 6:07.34...placed first in eights at Dad Vail Regatta 2,000m (May 10-11) with a 6:28.003
Prep: 2023 graduate of Mayo High School…served as team captain of the Rochester Rowing Club …placed 14th at Youth Nationals in the 1x in 2022...included on the Honor Roll.
Personal: Born in Houston, Texas…parents are Shanda and Matt Blackmon…majoring in Computer Science…volunteered with Summer of Service.
