Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University Athletics

2024-25 (Senior): Took gold in JV eights and placed third in JV fours at the FIRA Championships (March 29) to aid the Eagles in capturing a second-straight state title.

2023-24 (Junior): Competed in 15 races as a junior...helped the Eagles to a gold in the Eights (6:11.89) at FIRA Championships (March 30)...took first place with the Eights (6:28.033) in the Dad Vail Regatta (May 11).

2022-23 (Sophomore): Competed in three races…earned one victory and a silver medal…kicked off the spring by downing Rollins (Mar. 4) in a dual in Fours (7:16.9)…earned a silver medal in Fours ‘B’ (7:10.98) at the FIRA Championships (Apr. 1).

2021-22 (Freshman): Won in the Collegiate and Club Novice 4+ at the Head of the South (Nov. 13) with a 16:57.5…also placed fourth (14:50.3) in the Championship 8+… claimed two wins at the Tars Regatta (March 5), one in Varsity 4 “B” (7:35.0) and the other in Varsity 8 (6:10.8)…finished runner-up in both Varsity 4 (6:55.2) and Varsity 8 (6:06.8) against Stetson (March 11)…picked up two more second-place results at Florida Tech (March 19) in Varsity 4 (7:18.8) and Varsity 8 (6:29.5)…helped the Eagles win the overall title at the FIRA Championships (April 2) for the first time with silver medals in Varsity 4 (6:45.80) and Varsity 8 (6:10.89)…earned a trophy for the Eagles by winning in Varsity 4 (7:01.573) at the SIRA Championships (April 16)…put his name in the Embry-Riddle record books with a program-record time of 6:25.054 in Varsity 4 during a semifinal race at the Dad Vail Regatta (May 14)…later finished fifth with a 6:27.966 in the final.

Prep: Graduated from Canisius High School in May 2021…part of the Scholastic Rowing Association of America national championship boys lightweight 4+ boat in 2021…placed third in the lightweight 4+ at the Stotesbury Cup…finished fourth in the Youth 2- at the 2021 US Youth Nationals.
 
Personal: Born in Buffalo, New York…parents are Michael and Annemarie Talty…majoring in Aerospace Engineering.
