Ryan Maloney

Ryan Maloney will have the opportunity to use the experience he gained as a two-year letterwinner with the Embry-Riddle men’s soccer team to aid in the team’s continue success as he enters his first season as a volunteer assistant coach.

In his first season wearing the Blue and Gold, Maloney worked his way into the ERAU record books, setting a new single-season record for game-winning goals with eight. As a junior he led the Eagles in three offensive categories, including points (45), goals (19) and game-winners and finished the season ranked among the nation’s top 10 in game-winners (1st) and goals scored (9th). His performance impressed the coaches in The Sun Conference who voted him as a first team All-Conference and Conference Player of the Year and he capped off the season as a second team All-American.

The following year, he led the Eagles in scoring once again, tallying 20 goals and five assists for 45 points. In addition to totaling a team-high four game-winners, he was 3-for-4 from the penalty spot and was tabbed as a first team All-Conference selection and honorable mention All-American.

In the summer of 2011, Maloney continued to hone his craft as member of the Central Florida Kraze in the United Soccer Leagues. The Chester, England native played in 12 games and contributed seven goals as the Kraze advanced made it to the final 16 in the country.

Maloney is working toward completing his degree in Business Administration and will graduate in December 2010.
