Fall 2008: Posted a team-high 7-2 record in the fall...defeated Savannah College of Art and Design’s Dima Chiriacov 6-2, 6-1 in the finals for the ITA/Florida Regional (Oct. 5) to advance to the ITA Small College National Championships...fell to ITA/NAIA National Champion Fabio Silva from Fresno Pacific in the opening round of the ITA National Championship (Oct. 16)...rebounded to finish fifth in the tournament with wins over Taylor’s Felipe Bedon (6-1, 6-0) and Oklahoma Christian’s Esteban Flores (6-3, 6-1)...teamed up with Jan Hoekzema for a 7-1 doubles record...the duo blanked Florida Southern’s Ben Taylor and Gunther Fercher 8-0 at the ERAU Open (Sept. 20)...won three matches in a row at the ITA/Florida Regional...claimed the regional title and advanced to the ITA National Small College Championships with a 6-2, 5-7, 10-6 win over the SCAD tandem of Jan Menzen and Chiriacov (Oct. 21)...notched a 6-4, 6-2 win over Oklahoma Baptist’s Bruno Scacalossi and Gustavo Schaefer (Oct. 16) and a 5-7, 6-3, 10-3 win against California Baptist’s Carlos Cirne-Lima and Olive Andrzejczu to earn a spot in the title match...finished second in the tournament after falling to Auburn-Montgomery’s Monte Tucker and Michael Johnson 6-1, 6-3.
As A Junior in 2007-08: Named the 2008 NAIA/ITA Player to Watch...NAIA All-America Scholar Athlete...NAIA second team All-American...All-Conference selection...ranked 27th in the final ITA/NAIA National Poll...one of two recipients of the Steve and Vicky Ridder Scholarship...also earned one of seven Embry-Riddle Champions of Character Scholarships...finished the season at 17-5 overall...undefeated at 4-0 against conference opponents...went on a 10-match unbeaten streak from Feb. 1 to Mar. 19...played 10 matches at the No. 3 singles spot...topped Esteban Flores from No. 25 Oklahoma Christian 6-2, 6-1 in his only match at No. 1 singles (Mar. 19)...earned conference Player of the Week honors on Mar. 26 after going 3-0 in singles and 2-1 in doubles...scored the clincher in the Eagles’ 8-1 win against Jacksonville (Feb. 1), downing Victor Vaz 6-3, 6-0...Fall 2007: Ranked 16th in the ITA Preseason poll...played in six matches, finishing with a 4-2 singles mark...defeated Florida Southern’s Guenther Fercher and Michael Knoedler, 7-6 (3), 6-0 and 6-1, 6-3, respectively in the Embry-Riddle Fall Tournament (Sept. 14-15)...topped Savannah College of Art & Design junior Dima Chiriacov 6-4, 6-4 in the quarterfinals of the ITA Regional tournament (Sept. 29)...fell 6-3, 6-3 to top-ranked teammate Mislav Hizak in the ITA Regional semis...finished even at 2-2 in doubles...registered a pair of doubles wins in the ITA Regional tournament with Istvan Bolgar... Bes Comeras and Bolgar are ranked eighth in the ITA Preseason doubles poll...the duo lost to the second-ranked tandem of Hizak and Lazarov in the championship match of the ITA Regional.
As A Sophomore in 2006-07: ITA Scholar Athlete...FSC Academic All-Conference... closed out his sophomore campaign at 19-2 overall and was 17-1 in dual matches...posted a perfect 5-0 mark in league play to earn All-Florida Sun Conference and All-Region XIV honors...was 14-1 at No. 3 singles...notched a 6-1, 6-1 win over Mario Myles of Xavier (La.) at the No. 2 spot (Mar. 10)...won twice at No. 1 singles against Warner Southern’s Kyle Mahlon on Feb. 16 (8-0) and St. Thomas’ Jyles Turnquest on Feb. 22 (6-01, 6-1)...finished with a 19-4 overall doubles record., including a 9-2 mark with Istvan Bolgar as his doubles partner...the duo had an undefeated 3-0 record in the FSC...also played eight matches with Tomoaki Yasuda and they went 6-2 on the year. Fall 2006: Finished at .500 with a 2-2 record...posted wins against Webber International's Radovan Mircic and Savannah College of Art & Design's Willy Frei in the ITA Regional, before falling 6-3, 6-4 to teammate Konstantin Lazarov in the semifinal round...ranked 19th in the ITA fall poll in singles and 12th with Tomoaki Yasuda in doubles.
As A Freshman in 2005-06: Joined the Eagle lineup at the start of the spring semester...named to the All-Conference team...honorable mention Academic All-Conference...led the team in matches played (22) in the spring, compiling a 13-5 overall record...undefeated at 5-0 in the Florida Sun Conference...played most of the season at No. 3 singles, going 10-4...won his only match at No. 1 singles with a 6-4, 6-0 defeat on St. Thomas' Luis Huguet...went 2-1 at No. 2 singles with his only loss coming to NCAA II foe Patrick Rittenauer from Barry (Feb. 3)...recorded a team-high nine wins in doubles play when paired with Matt Lukaszewicz...the duo was 5-1 at No. 2 doubles and 4-1 in the No. 3 spot...was 4-5 when paired with Konstantin Lazarov, including a 4-2 mark at No. 2 doubles.
