After spending just one season as a student-athlete with Embry-Riddle men’s tennis in 2023-24, Caelan Potts returned to the program as a graduate assistant in the fall of 2024.
Potts transferred to Embry-Riddle from St. Mary’s College in California, where played four seasons for the Gaels. He was a three-time West Coast Conference All-Academic Honorable Mention and ITA Scholar Athlete, and was named to the Dean's Honor List and College Sports Communicators Academic All District team.
In his only season wearing the Blue and Gold, Potts anchored the No. 5 spot in the singles lineup and partnered with Fernando Alonso for a 13-4 mark at the No. 2 spot in the lineup and a spot on the All-Sunshine State Conference second team in doubles.
A 2024 ITA Scholar-Athlete and Sunshine State Conference Honor Roll selection, Potts earned his undergraduate degree in physics from St. Mary’s and is pursuing his master’s in mechanical engineering at Embry-Riddle.
