Juan Verberne enters his first season as a Graduate Assistant Coach with the Embry-Riddle tennis program after competing for the Eagles for four seasons. Originally from Helmond in the Netherlands, Verberne came to Embry-Riddle in 2012 after spending a year as a redshirt at Saint Leo. He trained at Saddlebrook Tennis Academy in Tampa, Florida during his prep career, competing in USTA and Super Series tournament and achieved a top-500 Florida junior ranking.

Verberne capped his career with the Eagles at 14-14 in singles and 13-12 in doubles play. He received several honors for his work in the classroom as was named to the ERAU Athletics President’s team four times, was a four-time ITA All-American, and was two-time Academic All-Sun Conference honoree.

Verberne completed his undergraduate degree in Aerospace Engineering in 2016 and is working toward a master’s degree in the same discipline.
