Ellie Staker joined the Embry-Riddle staff as a Graduate Assistant Track and Field coach in the spring of 2017. She will be working primarily with the middle distance group as well as the long distance group. Staker graduated from ERAU in 2015 with a degree in Aerospace Engineering.

During her career at Embry-Riddle, Staker was a nine-time NAIA Indoor All-American and eight-time NAIA Outdoor All-American in track & field. In her senior season, Staker captured the national title in the 800m at the NAIA Indoor National Championships. She was also a three-time Sun Conference Track Athlete of the Year, a three-time CoSIDA Academic All-America selection and a Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athlete in 2014.

Staker also excelled as a cross country runner, earning the program's only All-America honor in 2013. She was a three-time first team All-Sun Conference performer and a two-time Sun Conference Runner of the Year. In addition, Staker was a two-time Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athlete and a four-time CoSIDA Academic All-American in cross country.

Staker is currently enrolled in graduate school at Embry-Riddle and is pursuing a Master of Software Engineering degree.
