2007-08: INDOOR ? Competed in the shot put and javelin throw, throwing 8.79m and 43.38m, respectively, at the Winter Sun #1 (Jan. 19). OUTDOOR -- Jumped 5.66m in the long jump at the FSU Relays (Mar. 29)... threw the discus 27.15m at the Spikes Classic (Mar. 15)...finished third in the javelin, throwing 43.72m, and jumped 6.18m in the long jump at the Miami Elite Invitational (Apr. 12).

2006-07: INDOOR ? Hit two season-best marks at the ERAU Last Chance Meet (Feb. 24) in the 60m (7.27) and 200m (22.90)...had his season-best long jump of 5.88m at the Winter Sun #2 (Feb. 17). OUTDOOR ? Recorded season best results at the FSC Championships (April 19) in the 100m (11.46) and triple jump (12.22).

Prep: A 2003 graduate of Marana High School...earned 10 letters while participating in track, football and baseball.

Personal: Born Oct. 4, 1984 in San Diego, Calif...son of John Ashal and Pam Jensen...majoring in Aeronautics with a minor in Safety...named to the ERAU Dean’s list.
