2008: CROSS-COUNTRY ? Scored points in six of the seven meets in which he competed...best overall finish came at the Florida Tech Invitational (Sept. 13) where he placed third with a time of 26:08...finished third among Eagle runners and eighth overall at the FSU Invitational (Sept. 27), completing the race in 25:58.70...posted a season-best 25:58 at The Sun Conference Championships (Nov. 8), finishing fifth on the team and fifth overall.

2007-08: OUTDOOR - Placed third in 5K Seminole Twilight (May 10)... finished second in the 3000m steeplechase and fourth in the 5000m at the 2008 FSC Championships (Apr. 21). CROSS COUNTRY ? Competed in seven meets as a freshman...scored points for ERAU in four meets and was the sixth finisher for ERAU in three additional races...finished second overall by a mere 00.11 at the ERAU/Smoothie King Invitational (Sept. 22) with a time of 27:22.04...finished in the top 10 at both the FLRunners.com Invitational (Oct. 5) and the FSC/Region XIV Championships (Nov. 3), garnering seventh (27:15.62) and ninth (27:42.91), respectively...ran his career-best time in the Mountain Dew Classic in 26:23.50 (Sept. 7)...named to the NAIA All-Region XIV team.

Prep: A 2007 graduate of Brentsville High School...a four-time member of the Virginia State AA Cross Country Championship team...placed third at the state meet in 2006...2007 team captain...a four-time first-team All-State, All-Region and All-District honoree for cross country and a three-time selection in track...named a member of the All-Area team by the Potomac News for three consecutive years in cross country and indoor and outdoor track...a four-time letterwinner in track...a member of the 4x800 team that placed second at the state meet, setting a new school record... the District Champion in the two-mile in 2005, earned All-State honors in the mile and two mile in 2004-06.

Personal: Son of Donna and Mark Melius...majoring in Aeronautical Science...a National Honor Society member...was an Eagle Scout during high school...served as a counselor for Brentsville’s cross country and track summer camps for youth.
