2013-14: OUTDOOR: Competed in six meets…earned All-America honors in the high jump at the NAIA National Championships (May 24) after placing third with a career best mark of 2.12m…first team All-Conference performer in the high jump, finishing first at The Sun Conference Championships (April 21-22) with a mark of 2.06m…earned a first place finish in the high jump at FSU Twilight (May 9).
Prep: 2010 graduate of Fork Union Military Academy where he played basketball for Coach Arrit Fletcher...also played at West High School in Salt Lake City, Utah, where he was coached by Bob Lyman…led his team to the 2010 4A New York State Championship...named team captain and was an All-Region selection.
Personal: Born in Brooklyn, N.Y. on May 5, 1990...son of Rico Saldana Sr. and Ivette Sanchez.
