Biography
2017-18: INDOOR: Finished third in the high jump with a personal-best height of 1.90m at the ERAU Indoor-Outdoor Challenge (Jan. 20)…equaled that mark of 1.90m in the high jump to finish fourth at the Dunamis Super Meet (Feb. 8-11). OUTDOOR: Took second place with a high jump of 1.90m at the ERAU-West Virginia Wesleyan Dual (March 5)…posted personal-best height of 1.91m in the high jump to earn a second-place finish at the Peach Belt Championships (April 19-21).
2016-17: Utilized redshirt.
2015-16: INDOOR: Placed fifth in the high jump at the Embry-Riddle Indoor/Outdoor Challenge with a mark of 1.78m…posted career-best jump of 1.89m at the Embry-Riddle Last Chance Meet (Feb. 27). OUTDOOR: Won the high jump at the ERAU-West Virginia Wesleyan Dueal with a 1.80m…also won the event at the Florida DII Intercollegiate Invitational with an identical mark of 1.80m (April 16)…posted season-high 1.85m high jump to place third at the USF Invitational (March 11).
2014-15: INDOOR: Competed in the high jump in four meets…best mark of 1.86m came at the Embry-Riddle Last Chance (Feb. 21). OUTDOOR: Finished ninth with a height of 1.85m at the Embry-Riddle Spikes Classic (April 4)…jumped 1.76m at The Sun Conference Championships (April 19).
PREP: 2014 graduate of Kingwood High School…competed in the high jump, setting a personal best mark of 6’ 7”…voted most spirited member of his senior class.
PERSONAL: Born in Houston, Texas on Oct. 6, 1995…son of Surangani and Chanaka Wijayasinha…volunteered with the Biloongra Books for Kids program…majoring in Aerospace Engineering.
