Biography

2017-18: CROSS COUNTRY: Ran a career-best 5K time of 18:21.0 at the Holloway Park XC Preseason Festival (Sept. 2)…clocked a 31:18.1 at the SSC Championships (Oct. 21). INDOOR: Helped the 4x400m relay team to a fourth-place time of 3:48.81 at the ERAU Indoor-Outdoor Challenge (Jan. 20).
 
2016-17: INDOOR: Member of the 4x400m relay team that took first at the Embry-Riddle Indoor/Outdoor Challenge (Jan. 21) in 3:31.63...placed second in the 800m in 2:00.91 at the same meet. OUTDOOR: Posted a career-best time of 1:59.74 in the 800m at the Florida Division 2 Challenge (March 25).

2015-16: CROSS COUNTRY: Ran in three meets for the Eagles as a freshman…placed 15th at the Asics ERAU Classic with a time of 29:01.76…posted season-best time of 28:08.01 at the Sand Shark Invitational (Oct. 24). INDOOR: Set career-best time of 2:53.93 in the 1000m at the Embry-Riddle Indoor/Outdoor Challenge (Jan. 23)…established career-fastest time of 1:25.02 in the 600m at the Embry-Riddle Last Chance Meet (Feb. 20). OUTDOOR: Competed exclusively in the 800m and 4x800m relay events…placed fourth in a career-best time of 1:59.03 in the 800m at the Florida DII Intercollegiate Invitational (April 16).
 
PREP: 2015 graduate of Hibriten High School...ran for coaches James Fuller and James Mara...broke school records in the 400m (50.4), 500m (1:09.10), 800m (1:56.02) and 1000m (2:40.30)...three-time team MVP and two-time team captain...named the conference Runner of the Year as a senior...earned All-Conference recognition four times...claimed conference championships in the 400m and 800m...set the conference record in the 800m...earned All-Region, All-State and All-Academic honors during his prep career.
 
PERSONAL: Born in Marietta, Ga. on May 31, 1997...son of Kathryn and Andy Rice...Eagle Scout...submitted the largest project in Piedmont Council history, entailing nearly 900 service hours over a three month period for the grounds of his high school...project was eventually nominated for the Adams National Eagle Scout Service Project of the Year Award.
