Biography

2013-14: CROSS COUNTRY – Had one of the best seasons in Eagle history…became the first Eagle women’s cross country runner to earn All-American honors at the NAIA National Championships (Nov. 23)…earned first team All-Sun Conference accolades and was named the league’s Runner of the Year for the second year in a row after winning The Sun Conference Championships (Nov. 9) in a time of 17:55.38, the fifth fastest time in Eagle history…posted the second fastest time in Eagle history 17:24.74, just six seconds shy of her school record, at the South Florida Invitational (Sept. 6)…also posted the third-fastest time in Eagle history at the Sand Shark Invite (Oct. 26) winning the meet in 17:41.72…led the team in every race she was in, including three individual wins…earned an individual bid to the NAIA National Championships for her performance at The Sun Conference Championships…placed 21st at the National Championships in a time of 18:21.82, the  10th fastest time in Eagle history…also earned Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athlete honors and Academic All-Sun Conference accolades for her performance in the classroom.

2012-13: CROSS COUNTRY - Recorded the best season in Embry-Riddle women’s cross country history…earned first team All-Sun Conference accolades and was named the league’s Runner of the Year (just the third Eagle ever) for winning The Sun Conference Championship (Nov. 3) in a time of 19:09.90…shattered the program record for fastest time at the Sand Shark Invite (Oct. 20), winning the meet in 17:18.32…posted the third-fastest time in Eagle history at the Mountain Dew Invitational (Sept. 15) by running an 18:08.07 to finish 12th overall…won the Asics Embry-Riddle Classic (Nov. 22) in 18:43.12…named The Sun Conference Runner of the Week four times, tying a league record…earned Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athlete honors and Academic All-Sun Conference accolades for her performance in the classroom. INDOOR/ OUTDOOR: Completed an internship at SpaceX and did not compete.

2011-12: CROSS COUNTRY - First team All-Conference honoree with a fifth-place finish at The Sun Conference Championships (Nov. 5) in 19:58.89…crossed the line first for the Eagles in the first six meets of her sophomore season… season-best time of 18:47.86 came at the USF Invitational (Sept. 9), earning her the first of two Sun Conference Runner of the Week honors…at the UCF Black & Gold Challenge, she ran to a fourth-place finish in 22:41.78, also earning Sun Conference Runner of the Week accolades…finished second on the team and 97th overall at the NAIA National Championships (Nov. 19), racing to a 19:47.00 time. INDOOR: NAIA All-American in two events, the 1000m and 4x400m relay…finished as the runner-up in the 1000m at the NAIA Indoor Track & Field Championships (Mar. 3), posting a time of 2:53.81…her 4x400m relay squad finished seventh in 3:53.19 at the national meet…won five events during the winter, posting best times in the 600m (1:36.28) at the ERAU Last Chance meet (Feb. 18) and mile (5:06.88) at the Florida Gator Invitational (Jan. 22)…part of a first-place distance medley relay team at the Jimmy Carnes Invitational (Jan. 14), posting a time of 12:41.47…took home medalist honors in the 1000m (2:53.69) at the Tiger Paw Invitational (Feb. 11). OUTDOOR: Earned NAIA All-America accolades in both the 1500m and 4x800m relay events at the NAIA Outdoor Track & Field Championships (May 26)…placed third in the 1500m with a time of 4:32.87, as well as finishing third along with her 4x800m teammates in 8:59.34…All-Sun Conference runner in four events for the Eagles during The Sun Conference Championships (Apr. 23), including winning the 800m (2:24.09), winning the 1500m (4:51.95), winning the 4x800m relay (9:31.95) and finishing second while posting a career-best mark of 18:02.20 in the 5000m…won both the 800m (2:18.52) and 1500m (4:46.92) at the ERAU Spike’s Classic (Mar. 24)…put forth her best 800m time of 2:11.71 at the Georgia Tech Invitational (May 12), and her best 1500m mark of 4:30.55 at the 2012 Pepsi Florida Relays (Apr. 7).

2010-11: CROSS COUNTRY - Scored in all eight meets that she competed in for the Blue and Gold...second Eagle finisher at the Early Bird Classic (Sept. 3), placing 11th overall with a time of 19:31.00...was also the second Eagle to finish the Mountain Dew Invitational (Sept. 18) in 19:03.17...earned a 12th-place finish at the ERAU Asics Classic (Sept. 25) with a time of 21:14.32...third-overall finisher at the Hatter Invitational (Oct. 15), recording a time of 19:53...placed eighth overall at The Sun Conference Championships (Nov. 6) with a career-best time of 18:47...fifth Eagle to finish the NAIA National Championships (Nov. 20), completing the course in 21:06. INDOOR: Competed in five meets as a freshman…took second in the 1000m with a 3:22.56 at the ERAU Indoor/Outdoor Challenge (Jan. 22)…helped the 4000m distance medley relay team to a third-place finish (12:42.66) at the Jimmy Carnes Invitational (Jan. 29)…ran season-best times of 2:21.15 in the 800m and 3:04.39 in the 1000m at the Tiger Paw Invitational (Feb. 11)…won the 1000m (3:07.66) and placed second in the 800m (2:25.79) at the ERAU Last Chance meet (Feb. 18)…part of 4x400m relay team that set school record time of 3:54.78 at the NAIA Indoor National Championships (Mar. 3). OUTDOOR: Participated in nine meets…finished third in the 800m (2:22.06) and fourth in the 1500m (4:58.13) at the ERAU Spikes Classic (Mar. 18)…placed sixth in the 800m (2:17.75) and eighth in the 1500m (4:51.18) at the FSU Relays (Mar. 23)…ran a season-best time in the 1500m (4:49.18) at the USF Collegiate Invitational (Apr. 1)…won gold in the 4x800m (9:38.97), silver in the 4x400m (4:02.82) and bronze in the 800m (2:26.39) at The Sun Conference Championships (Apr. 17)…recorded season-best time of 2:16.82 in the 800m at the UCF Twilight (May 5)… set school record in the 4x800m relay (9:07.88) at the NAIA Outdoor National Championships (May 26).

PREP: 2010 graduate of North Kitsap High School...lettered in both cross country and track...posted personal-best times of 2:20.86 in the 800m, 5:18 in the 1600m, 18:43 in the 3 mile and 19:03 in the 5K.

PERSONAL: Born in Seattle, Wash. on May 11, 1992...daughter of Bart and Catherine Staker...majoring in Aerospace Engineering.
