Biography
2019-20: CROSS COUNTRY: Competed in five meets...best time of the season was 19:37.6 at the Charles Bowles Invitational (Oct. 5)...posted a 19:37.7 at the FSU Invitational (Oct. 11). INDOOR: Set personal records at four of the five events she competed in…her first collegiate attempt at the Mile yielded a time of 5:53.85 (Jan. 25)…shaved three seconds off her personal best with a time of 10:35.25 in the 3000m at the Carolina Challenge (Jan. 31-Feb. 1), which was an ERAU season-best…recorded a personal-best time of 2:33.18 in the 800m at the South Carolina Invitational (Feb. 7)…placed second in a career-best time of 5:06.61 in the 1500m at the Embry-Riddle Bahama House First Chance Last Chance Meet (Feb. 22).
2018-19: CROSS COUNTRY: Second team All-SSC performer with a 12th-place finish at the SSC Championship (Nov. 3) in 23:06.18...All-Region honoree after a 17th-place finish at the NCAA II South Region (Nov. 17) in 22:40.55, becoming the fifth-fastest 6K runner in team history...also became the seventh-fastest 5K runner in program history with a time of 18:26.79 at the Mountain Dew Invitational (Sept. 22)...top Eagle finisher at the South Florida Invitational (Oct. 12) in 19:09.4, placing 13th overall. OUTDOOR: Competed at three meets...ran a 19:34.92 in the 5000m at the Peach Belt Conference Championship (April 18-20).
At Mississippi State: Ran in three meets for the Bulldogs...posted a season-best 6K time of 22:21.9 at the Paul Short Gold (Sept. 29).
Prep: Graduated in 2017 from Leesburg High School...three-time first team FHSAA All-State honoree in cross country...individual regional cross country champion twice...holds the ASICS ERAU Cross Country Classic high school girls record...first team FHSAA All-State in the 3,200m.
Personal: Born in Orlando, Florida...daughter of Marcelle and Todd Funke...majoring in Human Factors Psychology.
