Biography
2015-16: CROSS COUNTRY: Competed in all six meets as a freshman…finished 16th overall with a time of 21:02.07 at the ASICS ERAU Classic (Oct. 10)…recorded season-best time of 20:13.82 at the Sand Shark Invitational (Oct. 24). OUTDOOR: Ran the 800m in two meets as an unattached athlete, including a sixth-place finish of 2:34.36 at the Florida DII Intercollegiate Invitational (April 16).
Prep: Graduated from Florida Soutwestern Collegiate High School in 2015 while competing athletically for Island Coast High School...earned her AA degree from Florida Gulf Coast before graduated high school...named team MVP four times while also serving as team captain...set the school record in the 5K (20:20)...regional qualifier in 2013...second team All-Area honoree...All-Academic and a Rotary Scholar-Athlete.
Personal: Born in Fort Myers, Florida...daughter of Marlene and Jerald Ellis...majoring in Aerospace and Occupational Safety...volunteered as a camp counselor, at an elementary school, at the Imaginarium Science Center and Aquarium, among many others.
