Biography
2015-16: INDOOR: Helped the 4x400m relay team to a first-place finish at the Embry-Riddle Last Chance (Feb. 20) in a time of 3:57.15…ran a 59.00 in the 400m at the same meet. OUTDOOR: Recorded a pair of runner-up finishes at the ERAU/West Virginia Wesleyan Dual in the 4x400m relay (4:18.74) and the 300m Hurdles (47.41)…placed second in the 400m Hurdles at the Embry-Riddle Spikes Classic (April 2) in 1:04.61 where she also was part of the 4x400m relay team that finished second in 4:08.13…ran a season-best 1:02.20 in the 400m Hurdles at the Florida DII Intercollegiate Invitational to place second after helping the 4x400m relay team to a first-place time of 4:05.69.
2014-15: CROSS COUNTRY: Competed in six meets…second team All-Conference performer…finished 13th overall at The Sun Conference Championships (Nov. 8), her best finish of the season, with a time of 20:00.31…fastest time of the season (19:28.27) came at the Sand Shark Invitational (Oct. 25)…finished 15th overall at the ERAU ASICS Classic with a time of 20:46.13…scored points for the Eagles in all six meets in which she competed. INDOOR: NAIA All-American in the 4x400m relay after a sixth-place finish of 3:51.01 at the NAIA Indoor National Championships (March 7), setting a school-record…posted a second-place finish in both the 600m and 800m at the Embry-Riddle Last Chance (Feb. 20), finishing in 1:38.55 and 2:25.99, respectively…helped her Distance Medley Relay squad finish third at the Jimmy Carnes Invitational (Jan. 23) in a time of 13:02.95. OUTDOOR: NAIA All-American in both the 4x400m (3:47.15) and 4x800m relays (8:57.03), setting school records in both events at the NAIA Outdoor National Championships (May 23) with the 4x400m record of 3:46.72 coming in the prelims…also competed in the 400m Hurdles at the NAIA National Championships, finishing 23rd overall in 1:05.22…Sun Conference champion in the 400m Hurdles with a 1:04.98 finish at The Sun Conference Championships (April 19)…placed fourth in the 100m Hurdles (16.03) and seventh in the 400m (59.56) at the conference meet…ran a career-best 2:21.48 in the 800m at the North Florida Twilight (April 10)…placed seventh overall in the 400m Hurdles, a personal-record of 1:02.64 at the UCF Twilight (April 30).
2013-14: CROSS COUNTRY: Was a second team All-Conference selection as a sophomore after placing eighth in 19:22.85 at The Sun Conference Championship (Nov. 9)…personal-best time of the season, 19:14.12, came at the Sand Shark Invite (Oct. 26) as she was the second fastest Eagle and 20th place finisher…top finish was sixth place in 20:48.32 at the ASICS Embry-Riddle Classic (Sept. 21)…earned an individual bid for the NAIA National Championships (Nov. 23) for her finish at The Sun Conference Championships…placed 234th in a time of 20:34.63 at the National Championships.
2012-13: CROSS COUNTRY: Second team All-Conference runner-up as a true freshman…placed 13th overall and seventh on the Eagle team at The Sun Conference Championship (Nov. 3), running to a time of 21:49.07…best mark of the season came at the Sand Shark Invite (Oct. 20) when she placed 28th overall in 19:57.46…posted a time of 20:50.18 at the Mountain Dew Invitational (Sept. 15), finishing 93rd overall. INDOOR: Raced in five meets for the Eagles as a freshman…a member of the winning 4x800m relay team and the runner-up 4x400m relay team, and placed fifth with a time of 1:45.03 at the ERAU Challenge (Jan. 20)…she ran a personal-best time of 1:42.51 in the 600m to place third at the ERAU Last Chance (Feb. 16)…competed in the finals of the 4x800m relay placing eighth overall, earning her first All-American honor at the NAIA Indoor National Championships (March 2). OUTDOOR: Raced in eight meets, competing in the 100m and 400m hurdles, 4x400m and 4x800m relay, 400m race and the long jump…she won the 400m hurdles in 1:05.45 and was a member of the winning 4x800m relay team at the ERAU Spikes Classic (April 6)…she recorded an “A” standard, finishing ninth in the 400m hurdles in a collegiate-best time of 1:03.45 at the Miami Alumni Invitational (April 13)…she earned an All-Conference selection in the 400m hurdles winning the event in a time of 1:05.39; also competed in the 100m hurdles placing sixth in 16:46, competed in the finals of the 400m and the long jump as well placing eighth in both at The Sun Conference Championships (April 22)…she was a part of the second-place 4x400m relay, and placed seventh in the 400m hurdles at the FSU Twilight meet (May 3)…hit the lone “B” standard for the Eagles at the Georgia Tech Invite (May 11) in the 400m hurdles with a time of 1:04.35…she competed in the preliminary round of the 400m hurdles and the 4x800m relay at the NAIA Outdoor National Championships (May 25).
PREP: Graduated from Crystal River High School in 2012…captained her cross country team as a senior…named a team captain for track in both 2011 and 2012…named her team’s MVP Hurdler for three straight seasons…name the Citrus County Chronicle’s Female Athlete of the Year.
PERSONAL: Born in Ft. Belvoir, Virginia…parents are Lloyd and Sonne Slaughter…majoring in Homeland Security.
