Biography
2019-20 (Sophomore): Finished second in the V8+ race at the Jacksonville Dual with a time of 9:09.3 (March 7).
2018-19 (Freshman): Took fifth place in the Varsity 8+ 3200m race at the Hatter Invitational with a time of 13:08.5 (Oct. 27)...placed eighth in the Novice 8+ boat in 17:13.344 at the Head of the Hooch (Nov. 3)...won the Freshman/Novice 4+ race at the Head of the South in 19:45.7 (Nov. 10)...competed in three events at the FIRA Championships, finishing second in the Freshman/Novice 8 boat in 7:31.12, clocking a fourth-place time of 7:03.39 in the Varsity 8 boat, and placing fifth in the Pairs race in 8:31.78 (April 6)...earned a runner-up finish in the Varsity 8+ "B" final at the SIRA Championships with a time of 7:16.47 (April 20)...placed third in 6:49.4 in the Varsity 8 boat at the SSC Championships (April 26).
Prep: Graduated from F.W. Buchholz High School in Gainesville, Florida…captained the Bobcats’ women’s rowing team in 2017-18…placed first at the 2018 Florida Sculling State championship and the North District Regatta in varsity 4x…placed second at the North District Regatta in Varsity 4+…placed third in the Varsity 4+ at the Florida State championship and fifth in the women’s pair at the Head of the Hooch in 2017.
Personal: Born in Islip, New York…daughter of Joanna and Jerzy Popielarz…majoring in Homeland Security.
