Biography
Fall 2015: Finished the fall season with a team-best 10-5 singles record…won all four matches at the ERAU Open (Sept. 18-20)…dropped just 11 games in three matches on her way to winning the back draw at the West Florida Fall Fling (Oct. 16-18)…was 9-4 in doubles, including an 8-3 record with Hui-I Huang as her partner…after stumbling in the opening round, Götz and Huang won five consecutive matches to claim the doubles consolation title at the West Florida Fall Fling (Oct. 16-18).
As A Sophomore in 2014-15: NAIA Second Team All-American…ITA All-American… part of The Sun Conference Doubles Team of the Year in partnership with Hui-I Huang…first team All-Conference honoree…Academic All-Conference selection… capped her sophomore campaign with a 14-6 singles record, which included a 9-4 dual match mark with all but one match played at the No. 2 spot…ended the year on a seven-match winning streak…topped Florida Southern’s Miroslava Mensikova 6-0, 6-3 in her only match of the season at No. 1 singles (April 1)…was 18-8 in doubles, including a 15-4 mark in tandem with Huang…Huang and Götz were 6-0 in league play…the duo was ranked eighth in the final ITA/NAIA ranking of 2015….Fall 2014: Finished at 3-2 in singles and 3-4 in doubles…downed Southeastern’s Alexis Quinn 6-2, 6-0 in the first round of the USTA/ITA regionals before falling to tournament champion Adelaide Wood (3-6, 6-3, 3-6) in the second round…earned a pair of wins over Rollins’ Taylor Brown (0-6, 7-5, 7-6 (5)) and Florida Southern’s Olivia Spanuolo (3-6, 6-3, 6-4) at the ERAU Open (Sept. 12-13)…teamed up with Ana Gonzalez Hoy for a 3-1 doubles record…Gonzalez and Götz fell in the first round of the regional tournament but rattled off three straight wins, including an 8-5 decision against Northwood’s Rocio Merlo and Lola Garcia to win the consolation bracket.
As A Freshman in 2013-14: NAIA first team All-American…second team All-Conference selection…ranked 20th in the final ITA/NAIA singles poll…ITA Scholar-Atlhete…named to the ERAU Athletics President’s Team, which recognizes student-athletes with a 3.5 or better GPA during the academic year…named The Sun Conference Player of the Week after earning three conference wins during the week ending April 6…was 16-10 in singles, including a perfect 7-0 mark in league action…played the majority of her dual matches at the No. 2 spot where she was 10-8 overall….scored the clinching point against Southeastern with a 6-1, 6-0 defeat of Alexis Quinn (April 7)…compiled a 16-13 overall doubles record, including a 13-10 ledger in tandem with Paola Montero…Gotz and Montero were ranked 11th in the final ITA/NAIA doubles poll of 2014. Fall 2013: Turned in a 5-2 singles record in her first semester wearing the Blue and Gold…downed St. Thomas’ Gabriela Bongoivanni (6-1, 7-6 (7-2) in the second round and 11th-ranked Justyna Wojcik (7-6 (7-5), 6-3) of Northwood in the quarterfinals to advance to the semifinal round of the USTA/ITA Florida Regional (Sept. 26-29)...teamed up with Paula Ortiz Couder for a 1-2 record in doubles play…the pair picked up a doubles win over Nathalie Ocampo and Monique Frandji in the USTA/ITA Florida Regional (Sept. 26).
Prep: Graduated from Borg Linz in May 2012 where she played for Jürgen Waber and Hermann Fiala...reached the semifinals on the East Africa 18 and under doubles circuit in Rwanda.
Personal: Born on May 9, 1994 in Steyr, Austria…parents are Klaus and Karin Götz…majoring in Software Engineering.
