Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University Athletics

As a Sophomore in 2011-12: Played one match during the spring season…defeated Southeastern’s Heather Erskin at No. 6 singles, 6-0, 6-1 (Feb. 17)…also won at No. 3 doubles against Southeastern (Feb. 17), teaming with Landyn Scudder to top Erskin and Lexus Potts, 8-2.

Fall 2011: Played in two fall tournaments…posted an 0-3 record...teamed up with Landyn Scudder for a 1-3 doubles record…Scudder and Lagerstrom topped Webber International’s Holly Parnell and Katy Montforte 8-1 at the USTA/ITA Regional (Oct. 1).

As A Freshman in 2011: Finished her freshman campaign at 3-4…grabbed two wins in doubles play…got her only league win of the year with a 6-1, 6-0 decision against Ave Maria’s Kristina Larsen (Mar. 22). Fall 2010: Went 1-4 in singles play in two fall tournaments…topped Northwood’s Kristin Walker 6-1, 6-2 in the back draw of the USTA/ITA Florida Regional (Oct. 4)…teamed up with Ana Lew for a 1-4 doubles record…the duo topped Bethune Cookman’s Andrea Paez and Reijina Hopkins 8-5 at the ERAU Open (Sept. 17).

Prep: 2010 graduate of Sam Barlow High School…lettered in three sports, including tennis, cross country and swimming…named tennis team captain and MVP…state qualifier in tennis…also captained the Bruins’ swimming team and qualified for state three times…selected as valedictorian…National Honor Society…Scholar of Distinction.

Personal: Born in Salt Lake City, Utah…parents are Joseph and Melanie Lagerstrom…majoring in Human Factors Psychology…selected to Embry-Riddle’s honors program.
