Biography
Fall 2015: Was 8-6 in singles and 6-4 in doubles…won three of her four singles matches at the ERAU Open (Sept. 18-20)…bested Flagler’s Thaisa Perreira 7-5, 6-3 to advance to the quarterfinals of the Juan Varon Wildcat Invitational (Oct. 31 – Nov. 1)…partnered with Meena Bennett for a 6-3 doubles record…the duo was unbeaten at the ERAU Open.
As A Junior in 2014-15: First team All-Sun Conference selection…finished the year at 14-8 in singles and 11-10 in doubles…owned a six-match winning streak from March 12 to April 1…shutout Webber International’s Chandler Reed 6-0, 6-0 on March 25…scored the clinching point against Rollins (Feb. 9) with a thrilling, come-from-behind 6-7 (8-10), 6-4, 6-0 victory over Taylor Brown in a contest that lasted five hours and 20 minutes…also clinched the Eagles’ victories over Southeastern (Feb. 19), Northwood (April 8), and Arizona Christian (May 13)…teamed up with Ana Gonzalez Hoy for a 7-4 doubles record and was 4-3 in tandem with Meena Bennett…Fall 2014: Earned a singles victory against Florida Southern’s Cassie Eldredge (6-1, 7-6 (2) at the ERAU Open (Sept. 12)… also topped St. Thomas’ Maria Dimitrova and Naomi Maehama in the first round of doubles play at the regional tournament with Meena Bennett as her partner.
2013-14: Did not compete
As A Sophomore in 2012-13: Posted a 13-14 overall singles record…was 10-13 in dual matches, playing all 22 matches at the No. 4 spot in the Eagle lineup…scored the clinching point against Westmont’s Grace Davis (6-1, 4-6, 6-2) to help propel the Eagles into the NAIA National Championship quarterfinal (May 15)… finished the year with a 13-15 doubles mark, including a 12-10 mark in tandem with Paola Montero…the duo went 6-1 in conference play. Fall 2012: Went 3-2 in fall singles play…earned a win over Ave Maria’s Mary Kate Lee (6-3, 6-1) in the first round of the USTA/ITA Florida Regional…teamed up with Ana Gonzalez-Hoy for a 1-4 record in doubles play…Tomiotto and Gonzalez-Hoy topped Ave Maria’s Sandusky and Cooks 8-3 in the USTA/ITA Florida Regional (Oct. 4).
As A Freshman in 2011-12: Competed in five matches, posting a 3-2 singles record and a 1-0 mark in conference play…only conference win was a 6-0, 6-0 shutout of Warner’s Rosa Garcia (Apr. 7)…was 2-2 at the No. 6 spot in the lineup…was 2-1 overall in doubles, including a 2-0 mark in tandem with Ekaterina Kamendova.
Prep: Graduated from Unificado in Dec. 2010…two-time national finalist in Under-18 singles and doubles in 2010…won six state titles in 2009 and finished the season ranked No. 2 in the Under-18 category…earned a No. 1 ranking in Santa Catarina and represented the state on the national stage in 2008…captured four state titles and was a finalist in two other tournaments in 2007.
Personal: Born in Balneário Camboriú, Santa Catarina, Brazil on Oct. 4, 1993…parents are Fernando and Nair Tomiotto…majoring in Mechanical Engineering.
