Fall 2009: Ranked 14th in the ITA/NAIA preseason rankings…turned in a 3-4 record in fall play…earned wins against Webber International’s Kammie Bilardello (6-1, 6-0) and Savannah College of Art and Design’s Annie Chastain (6-2, 6-0) to advance to the finlas of the ITA/Florida Regional (Oct. 2-4)…compiled a 5-2 doubles record in tandem with Yi Ching Chen…Zoricic and Chen are ranked 11th in the ITA/preseason poll…the duo went 2-1 in the Embry-Riddle Open (Sept. 18-20) and defeated SCAD’s Stephanie Gula and Romina Mrochen (8-3) and St. Thomas’ Camille Allen and Ydsia Quitero (6-0, 6-0) to move into the ITA regional title match (Oct. 2-4).
As a Junior in 2008-09: First team All-American…repeated as The Sun Conference Player of the Year…ITA/NAIA Florida Regional Champion…posted an 18-9 singles record, including a team-high eight wins in dual match play at the No. 1 position…was 4-1 in conference play…shutout Webber International’s Leila Marquet (Mar. 25) and Warner’s Maria Walter (Mar. 30)…teamed up with Hana Im for an 11-6 doubles mark…the duo was ranked 13th in the final ITA/NAIA poll…won six of their eight doubles matches in the month of March. Fall 2008: Ranked third in the ITA/NAIA preseason poll, the highest ranking of any player in Embry-Riddle women’s tennis history...posted an 8-2 record in individual match play…repeated as the ITA Regional champion, another Embry-Riddle women’s tennis first...dropped just four games in three matches at the regional tournament...defeated 13th-ranked Kathleen Brancato from Illinois-Springfield 6-2, 6-2 in the opening round of the ITA Small College National Championships (Oct. 16)...finished third at the ITA national tournament with a 7-5, 6-0 win over Bethel’s (Kan.) Paige McKinney (Oct. 18)...earned a 4-2 doubles record with Hana Im as her partner...the pair notched wins against Rollins’ Allie Steele and Anita Paskvalin (8-2), Florida Southern’s Erin Conroy and Keva Palmer (8-2) and Jacksonville’s Fernanda Careero and Juliana Umeki (8-3) at the ERAU Open (Sept. 19-21).
As A Sophomore in 2007-08: First team All-American…Florida Sun Conference and Region XIV Player of the Year…ranked 15th in the final ITA national singles poll…led the Eagle line-up in wins with 16…earned 11 dual match victories, playing all her matches at the No. 1 position…turned in a perfect 4-0 record in conference play…entertained a six-match winning streak from Feb. 2 to Mar. 11…closed out the season with a five-match unbeaten streak (Apr. 15 – May 14)…posted back-to-back shutouts with an 8-0 win over St. Thomas’ Natalie Ramirez (Feb. 9) and a 6-0, 6-0 victory over Northwood’s Mika Seger (Feb. 10)…easily dispatched No. 26 Jennifer Le of Oklahoma Christian 6-1, 6-1 on Mar. 19…handed Rollins’ Marnie Mahler only her second loss of the season with 6-4, 6-2 decision (Apr. 15)… teamed up with Hana Im for a 13-10 doubles record…the duo posted a 10-6 mark in dual match play at the No. 1 doubles position and finished the season ranked ninth in the final ITA national poll…the pair also posted an undefeated 5-0 record in league play…Fall 2007: Ranked 17th in the ITA’s preseason NAIA poll...went 5-3 in singles play...surrendered just two points in her first two matches at the ITA Florida Regional tournament defeating SCAD’s Erica Cardenas 6-0, 6-0 and Webber International’s Charlotte Alriksson 6-1, 6-1...topped teammate Hana Im 7-5, 6-1 in the regional final to advance to the ITA Small College National Championships...fell to national champion Candela Castenon (Lindsey Wilson) 6-2, 6-1 in the opening round of the national tournament...teamed with Im for a 4-3 doubles record....the duo bested Cardenas and Stephanie Gula in the ITA Regional final to advance to nationals...defeated Oklahoma Christian’s Jennifer Le and Gabriela Nastasa 6-4, 6-2 in the opening round of the national tournament...lost to Kamila Dadakhodjaeva and Dominika Zuzulova 6-1, 6-2 to finish fifth overall...Zoricic and Im are listed at No. 4 in the preseason doubles ranking.
At Broward Community College: Posted an 14-2 record as a freshman for Coach LeTrone Mason’s Seahwaks...won the National Junior College Athletic Association’s Florida State titles in singles and doubles...also won the regional title in singles and doubles...defeated Tyler Junior College’s Ashley Irvin in the Flight 2 singles final to claim an NJCAA national title.
Prep: Graduated from Economics High School in 2006...three-time national runner-up...a member of the Croatian 16 and Under national team...top-ranked 16 and Under player in Croatia...ranked among the European Tennis Association’s Top 20...finished as runner-up in the ETA’s tournament, “Galea Open” in Slovenia...ranked among the top five in 12 and Under and 14 and Under competition in Croatia.
