As A Junior in 2015-16: Garnered Academic All-Sunshine State recognition…owned an 11-14 singles record, including an 8-8 mark at the No. 3 spot in the lineup…owned a four-match winning streak from March 8-14…registered a straight set shutout of Anna Sala of Southern New Hampshire (March 14)…topped Madeline Wills 6-1, 6-1 to clinch the Eagles’ win over Southeastern on April 7…was 13-14 in doubles play, including a 12-13 record in partnership with Kathryn Bock. Fall 2015: Was 3-6 in singles and 4-5 in doubles…earned a pair of singles victories at the ERAU Open (Sept. 18-20), including a 6-1, 7-6 (3) win over Flagler’s Thaisa Pereira…was 3-4 with Kathryn Bock as her doubles partner…teamed up with Anna Götz for an 8-0 defeat of Krista Good and Marta G-Nieto in the first round of the USTA/ITA DII South Regional (Sept. 25-28).
 
As A Sophomore in 2014-15: Second team All-Conference selection…turned in 9-10 singles record after moving three spots to the No. 3 position in the lineup…clinched the Eagles’ win against Cardinal Stritch (March 4) by outlasting Natalie Grieve 7-5, 4-6, 6-0…was 3-2 in conference play… second on the team in doubles wins with a 21-6 doubles record, including a 13-6 ledger in partnership with Kathryn Bock…the duo was unbeaten in eight matches from March 4- April 4…Fall 2014: Teamed up with Hui-I Huang to win the USTA/ITA Florida regional title…the duo was 8-2 in fall play…earned a pair of three-set victories, including a 3-6, 6-3, 10-8 over 2013 regional champions Daniela Arcila and Maria Barragan to claim the regional crown…they dispatched Graceland’s Jessica Woring and Katherine Rodriguez 6-2, 6-3 to finish third at the USTA/ITA National Small College Championships…turned a 2-3 singles record…topped Rollins’ Taylor Brown 6-2, 6-4 in the ERAU Open (Sept. 12) and St. Thomas Ksenia Slavina 6-3, 6-2 in the first round of the ITA regional tournament (Sept. 27).
 
As A Freshman in 2013-14: Second team All-Sun Conference…the team leader in singles wins (23)…finished at 23-3 overall, including a 20-1 mark in dual matches, playing the majority of her matches at No. 6 singles…was 5-0 at the No. 5 spot and 6-1 in conference play…registered four shutouts…closed out the season on a 16-match winning streak…clinched the Eagles’ win against SCAD Savannah with a 6-2, 6-2 defeat of Carolina Viteri (April 4)…Fall 2013: Went 3-2 in singles play in her first semester with the Eagles…topped Northwood’s Olivia Toth in straight sets (6-3, 6-2) in the first round of the USTA/ITA Regionals…was 2-3 in doubles, including a 1-2 mark with Anna Götz as her partner.
 
Prep: Graduated from British Council School in 2013…rated No. 9 in the Spanish junior rankings…advanced to the second round of the Spanish Junior National Championship where she fell to the tournament’s No. 4 seed…coached by her uncle Juan Couder, who also coached former world No. 1 doubles player Virginia Ruano.
 
Personal: Born in Madrid, Spain on Mar. 24, 1995…parents are Arturo Ortiz and Patricia Couder… brother Juan is a freshman on the ERAU men’s tennis team…married to ERAU men's soccer alum...majoring in Aerospace Engineering.
