Biography

Fall 2009: Posted a 3-3 record in singles play…earned wins over Bethune-Cookman’s Andrea Paez (6-0, 6-3) and Reijina Hopkins (6-0, 6-1) in the ERAU Open (Sept. 18-19)…bested St. Thomas’ Camille Allen (6-0, 6-2) in the ITA Florida Regional (Oct. 2)…partnered with Landyn Scudder to take down Paez and Hopkins in doubles 8-6 (Sept. 20).

As a Junior in 2008-09: ITA All-America Scholar Athlete…NAIA All-America Scholar Athlete…Academic All-Conference selection…completed the season with a 13-10 singles record, with a 10-7 mark in dual matches…won singles matches in straight sets eight times, including a 6-0, 6-0 win over Emily White of No. 12 Southern Nazarene (Mar. 17)…went 3-2 in conference singles play…registered shutouts of Tampa’s Emily Kennedy (Feb. 6), No. 12 Southern Nazarene’s Emil White (Mar. 17), Webber International’s Aleks Milosevska (Mar. 25) and Warner’s Morgan Bromley (Mar. 30…Fall 2008: Closed out the fall season with an even singles record at 3-3…ranked 42nd in the ITA/NAIA preseason poll…advanced to the consolation finals of the ITA Regional tournament with a 6-0, 6-0 win over Webber International’s Jeanette Hicks…also picked up wins against St. Thomas’ Natalie Ramirez (6-2, 6-0) and Bethune Cookman’s Chanetra Brown (8-3) on Sept. 19 and Oct. 4, respectively… went 2-2 in tandem with Marga Rico Jimenez in doubles play…the duo downed Hicks and Kathryn Pace 8-1 at the ITA Regional (Oct. 3)…they also defeated Rollins’ Bradleigh Lore and Amber Arciero 8-5 at the ERAU Open (Sept. 19)…named NAIA Scholar-Athlete with a 3.625 grade point average…also named to the academic All-Conference team…Dean’s List student

As A Sophomore in 2007-08:
Posted a 12-7 overall record, including an 11-3 mark in dual match play…undefeated in league play at 3-0…all 11 dual match singles wins came at the No. 5 spot…owned a six-match winning streak from Mar. 17 to Apr. 13…scored clinchers against Northwood (Feb. 10), Brenau (Mar. 5) and Vanguard (Mar. 28)….rallied from a 6-4 first-set loss to top SCAD’s Erica Cardenas 6-1, 6-4 in the next two sets to catapult the Eagle women into the NAIA National Tournament quarterfinals (May. 13)…partnered with Marga Rico Jimenez to notch five victories at the No. 3 doubles position…the duo avenged an early season loss to the tandem of Stephanie Gula and Erica Cardenas in the Eagles win over SCAD at the NAIA National Tournament (May 13)…Fall 2007: Competed in six matches...bested teammate Kerinn Meisenbach 6-1, 1-6, 6-2 in the semifinals of the back draw at the Embry-Riddle Invitational (Sept. 14)...fell to Marga Rico-Jimenez 6-0, 3-6, 2-6 in the back draw championship...partnered with Rebecca Lima for one doubles match in the Embry-Riddle Invitational, but they lost 8-5 to the SCAD pair of Stephanie Gula and Erica Cardenas.

As A Freshman in 2006-07: ITA Scholar Athlete...joined the line-up in the spring...12-8 in singles with a 4-1 mark in FSC play...one of only four ERAU players to notch double-figure wins in dual matches...was 10-7 at the No. 6 spot...played three matches at No. 5 winning two...went on a five-match winning streak from Mar. 8 to Mar. 16...defeated Northwood’s Therese Svensson 6-2, 6-3 to seal a 6-3 win over Northwood and secure the Eagles’ second place finish in the league (Apr. 6)...paired up with Marga Rico Jimenez for a 5-3 record in doubles...the duo was 4-3 at the No. 3 position...they defeated Warner Southern’s Maria Hartsock and Alison Sopko 8-3 at No. 2 doubles (Feb. 16).

Prep: Graduated from Escola Secundaria da Batalha...played for the Batalha club team...among the Top 20 as a junior tennis player...won the regional doubles title in 2000...finished second in team national tournament...also competed as a swimmer.
