2022-23: D2 ADA Academic Achievement Award. INDOOR: Placed second with a PR of 2,176 points in the pentathlon at the Florida University (Feb. 9-10), which included personal bests of 11.51 in the 60m hurdles and 7.98m in the shot put. OUTDOOR: Peach Belt Conference Team of Academic Distinction...Peach Belt Conference Presidential Honor Roll Presidential Scholar…set career records of 1.50m in the high jump at the UNF - River City Spring Break Classic (March 16-17) and in the 100m hurdles (117.38) at the Embry-Riddle Spike’s Classic and Multi College (March 30-April 1).
2021-22: D2 ADA Academic Achievement Award…Peach Belt Conference Team of Academic Distinction…Peach Belt Conference Presidential Honor Roll Silver Scholar. INDOOR: Competed in three meets…set a PR in the Pentathlon with 1813 points including a PR of 12.42 in the 60m hurdles at the JDL February Multi & Track Meet (Feb. 7-8). OUTDOOR: Competed in five meets…had career-best marks of 19.61 in the 100m hurdles and 28.955 in the 200m at the Embry-Riddle Spike’s Classic (April 1-2)... scored a personal record 3,349 points in the heptathlon (including personal best marks of 1.43m (4-8.25) in the high jump, 7.97m (26-1.75) in the shot put, 23.87m (78-4) in the javelin, and 3:12.335 in the 800m) to win silver at the Peach Belt Conference Championships (April 22-23)…totaled 22 points at the PBC meet with PRs of 5.46m (17-11) in the long to take second and 11.07m (36-4) in the triple jump to finish third.
2020-21: Peach Belt Conference Team of Academic Distinction…Eagles of Excellence scholarship recipient…competed in field events at the Embry-Riddle Invite.
2019-20: INDOOR: Named to the Peach Belt Conference Team of Academic Distinction…Embry-Riddle Eagles of Excellence Scholarship recipient…competed in four meets…her personal-best leap of 10.25m (33-7.5) in the triple jump at the Embry-Riddle Indoor-Outdoor Challenge (Jan. 25) was also an ERAU season-best…also had a PR in the 60m (8.74) at the meet…had a career-best 7.74m (25-4.75) throw in the shot put at the Embry-Riddle Bahama House First Chance Last Chance Meet (Feb. 22).
2018-19: INDOOR: Placed third in the triple jump with a leap of 10.21m at the Embry-Riddle Indoor-Outdoor Challenge (Jan. 19). OUTDOOR: Scored four points at the Peach Belt Conference Track & Field Championships (April 18-20), finishing eighth in the triple jump (9.96m) and sixth in the long jump with a career-best leap of 5.17m.
PREP: 2018 graduate of Central Catholic High School…led her team to the 2017 D2 state championship…named an MVC All-Star in the long jump and triple jump…posted personal bests of 16’ 5.5” in the long jump and 33’ 10.5” in the triple jump.
PERSONAL: Born in Newburyport, Massachusetts…daughter of Walter and Sarah Sorenson…majoring in Homeland Security.
