Biography

2012-13: INDOOR - Competed in six events in her record setting junior campaign… posted an “A” qualifying standard to start the season placing third in the weight throw with a total distance of 17.93m, .57m shy of the all-time Eagles record at the Gator Invitational (Jan. 17)…she set a new school record winning the weight throw with an “A” standard distance of 19.24m at the ERAU Challenge (Jan. 20)…she won the weight throw with an “A” standard distance of 19.92m, a school record and a qualifying distance for the U.S. Indoor Nationals at the Jimmy Carnes Invitational (Jan. 27)…she continued her dominance, winning the weight throw with a distance of 18.77m, an “A” standard at the Tiger Paw Invitational (Feb. 9)…she won the weight throw again with another “A” standard distance of 18.47m at the ERAU Last Chance (Feb. 16)…as the defending champion in the weight throw, she placed second with a final throw of 18.85m earning her third straight All-American honor at the NAIA National Championships (March 1)…she placing eighth in the weight throw with a toss of 19.06m competing at the U.S. Indoor Nationals (March 2). OUTDOOR: Competed in nine meets for the Eagles…placed third in the discus with an “A” standard and school-record throw of 47.30m, and qualified in the hammer throw with a distance of 59.62m at the USF Bulls Invite (March 15)…turned in two “A” standards at the LSU Relays (March 23) with a distance of 55.51m in the hammer throw and a throw of 46.40m in the discus…took third place in the discus throwing an “A” standard distance of 46.32m and placed sixth with an “A” standard distance of 55.96m in the hammer throw at the Pepsi Florida Relays (April 4)…she won the hammer throw with an automatic qualifying distance of 58.13m at the Miami Alumni Invitational (March 13)…she captured her third straight conference title in the hammer throw breaking her own conference meet record throwing 55.56m to earn an All-Conference Selection at The Sun Conference Championships (April 22)…she won the discus (44.03m) and finished second in the shot put (11.66m) earning an All-Conference selection in both…was named the 2013 TSC Field Athlete of the Year…hit an automatic qualifying standard in the hammer throw, with a third-place finish (55.40m), and followed that with a “B” standard in the discus finishing in seventh (43.17m) at the Seminole Twilight (May 3)…she hit an automatic qualifying standard and won the hammer throw with a toss of 57.89m and took third in the discus (47.41m) for another “A” standard at the Georgia Tech Invite (May 10)…kicked off day one by setting and resetting the NAIA National Championship mark in the hammer throw with throws of 61.53m and 61.64m, claiming her first national championship in the event and earning All-America honors at the NAIA Outdoor National Championships (May 25)...earned her second All-American honor of the meet with a third place finish in the discus with a throw of 46.78m.

2011-12: INDOOR – Participated in six meets for the Eagles…placed third in the weight throw at the Florida Gator Invitational (Jan. 2) with a mark of 17.71m…won the discus (41.09m) and weight throw (18.26m) at the ERAU Challenge (Jan. 28)…took first place in the javelin (30.23m), weight throw (18.56m) and discus (43.54m) at the ERAU Last Chance meet (Feb. 17-18)…her mark of 18.56m set a school record in the weight throw…won the NAIA Indoor National Championship (Mar. 1) in the weight throw with a distance of 18.50m. OUTDOOR: Competed in eight meets during the outdoor season…took second in the hammer with a school-record mark of 54.98m at the USF Bulls Invitational (Mar. 15)…won the discus (40.92m) and the hammer (50.21m) and placed second in the javelin (28.94m) at the ERAU Spikes Classic (Mar. 23-24)…took first in the hammer (54.68m) and second in the discus (43.34m) at the FSU Seminole Invitational (Apr. 13-14)…won four medals at The Sun Conference Championships (Apr. 22-23), winning the discus (43.58m) and hammer (54.35m), taking the silver in the javelin (31.03m) and finishing third in the shot put (10.85m)…her marks in the discus, javelin and shot put at the conference meet were all season bests…scored points in the hammer (52.78m) with a fourth-place finish and placed ninth in the discus (43.26m) at the NAIA Outdoor Championships (May 24-26).
 
2010-11: INDOOR – Competed in four meets…won the discus (39.30m) at the ERAU Indoor Outdoor Challenge (Jan. 22)…won the weight throw (15.55m) and discus (41.17m) and set the school record in the shot put with a mark of 11.54m at the ERAU Last Chance meet (Feb. 18)…won a bronze medal with a then-school record throw of 17.47m in the weight throw at the NAIA Indoor National Championships (Mar. 3). OUTDOOR: Participated in nine meets…won the discus (43.00m) and hammer throw (49.56m) at the ERAU Spikes Classic (Mar. 18)…won the hammer throw (53.01m) at the USF Collegiate Invitational (Apr. 1)…took first place in the hammer throw (48.98m) and second in the discus (43.96m) at the FSU Seminole Invitational (Apr. 8)…won three gold medals (hammer throw, 49.92m; discus, 43.42m; javelin, 32.20m) and set a school record with a second-place finish in the shot put (11.48m) at The Sun Conference Championships (Apr. 17)…took second in the hammer throw (48.80m) at the FSU Twilight (May 6)…won the hammer throw and set a new school record with a mark of 54.66m at the UNF Osprey Invitational (May 13)…placed fourth in the hammer throw (52.39m) and sixth in the discus with a school-record distance of 47.22m at the NAIA Outdoor National Championships (May 26).

PREP: Graduated from Land O’ Lakes High School in 2009…was a Sunshine Athletic Conference and District Champion in both the shot put and discus…finished third in the discus (122’1”) and fifth in the shot put (38’2.25”) at the 3A State Championship…was team captain and MVP in 2009 and holds three Land O’ Lakes school records.

PERSONAL: Daughter of Robert and Patricia Woodard…born in Philadelphia, Pa. on Aug. 8, 1991…majoring in Air Traffic Management.
