Biography

As a Senior in 2013: One of six Eagles to appear in all 34 matches…All-Sun Conference First Team selection…led the team with a .303 hitting percentage…racked up career highs in kills (242), blocks (119), digs (89) and service aces (31)...broke the program record for career blocks in The Sun Conference semifinal against Webber International (Nov. 15)...graduates with school-record 384 blocks (41 solo)...also set school record for attack percentage in a match when she hit .769 (10-0-13) in a 3-0 win over Ave Maria (Nov. 9)...finishes her career with program-record .319 hitting percentage...ranked 38th in the NAIA with an average of 1.01 blocks/set...tallied season-high 15 kills in a 3-2 loss to Madonna (Aug. 30)...registered nine blocks (three solo) and eight kills (.538 hitting percentage) in a 3-0 win at Coastal Georgia (Oct. 2)...dominated The Sun Conference Tournament with a .600 hitting percentage, compiling 25 kills with just one error, 11 blocks (2 solo), four service aces and three digs in ERAU's two matches...put down 11 kills to go along with nine blocks (1 solo) in a five-set loss to Midland at the NAIA National Championship final site (Dec. 4).

As a Junior in 2012: One of five Eagles to appear in all 35 matches…All-Sun Conference Second Team selection…totaled 233 kills and a .274 hitting percentage, both third-best on the team…averaged 1.94 kills/set, tied for 13th-highest in The Sun Conference…ranked fourth in the conference with 82 total blocks (seven solo)…also recorded 67 digs and seven service aces…registered career-high 17 kills (.577 attack percentage) to go along with six blocks and four digs in a four-set win at St. Thomas (Sept. 28)…tallied season-high nine blocks in addition to 10 kills against Bellevue (Oct. 5)…compiled eight kills and a season-high seven digs against Hastings at the NAIA National Tournament Final Site (Nov. 29).
 
As a Sophomore in 2011: Saw action in 78 sets in 30 matches…ended the season as the ERAU career leader in attack percentage (.378) and ranked in the top 10 in blocks/set (0.99, 3rd), total blocks (183, 7th) and block assists (166, 7th)…broke her own record for highest single-season hitting percentage with a .386 mark…tallied 77 blocks (8 solo), good for second on the team and seventh in the conference…led the team and ranked fourth in the conference with an average of 0.99 blocks/set…recorded career-high 10 blocks (one solo) in the conference championship match, a 3-0 win over SCAD Savannah (Nov. 12)…registered her only three double-digit kill matches at the NAIA National Tournament Final Site, including 10 kills in each of the wins against Freed-Hardeman (Nov. 29) and Southern Oregon (Dec. 2) and 13 kills in a five-set loss to Biola (Dec. 1).
 
As a Freshman in 2010: Started 34 matches as a freshman, appearing in 107 sets…one of only two freshmen to be named to the All-Conference team…established new ERAU single-season record with a .372 hitting percentage…hit .433 in conference play (56-14-97)…recorded season-high 11 kills out of 12 attacks (.917 hitting percentage) in a 3-0 sweep of Oklahoma Baptist on Sept. 4…registered season-high three service aces along with six kills and three digs in 3-1 win at Southern Oregon (Aug. 20)…picked up season-best nine blocks (two solo) in 3-0 win over Warner in conference semifinals (Nov. 12).

Prep: Graduated from Clovis West High School in 2010… earned three letters under Coach Rhonda DeRuiter… had 420 kills, 174 blocks, and 51 aces during her senior season… led the team in kills and blocks as a senior… led CWHS to a 33-11 record and a No. 36 national ranking…played for Central California Volleyball Club team for five years… recognized as a Scholar-Athlete three times.

Personal: Born in Bakersfield, Calif. on Apr. 7, 1992...daughter of Jim and Mary Jacobson…her younger sister, McKenzie is 6’6” and is a freshman volleyball player at the University of Arizona…majoring in Civil Engineering.
