Biography

As a Senior in 2012: Appeared in 35 matches, playing in 125 of 127 sets…named a first-team All-Sun Conference selection…earned The Sun Conference Player of the Year honors...became the second player in program history to be recognized as a Tachikara-NAIA First Team All-American…ended the season ranked in the top 10 in nine statistical categories, including kills (474, 2nd), service aces (47, 2nd), total blocks (94, 3rd) and digs (387, 5th)…recorded 17 double-doubles throughout the season, including a 20-20 match (22 kills, 20 digs) in a 3-1 victory over Bethel (Tenn.) on Sept. 7…racked up a season-high 26 kills and added 14 digs in a 3-1 win over Grand View (Sept. 14)…tallied season-best 24 digs and 18 kills in a 3-2 victory at Webber International (Oct. 12)… averaged 11.33 kills and 9.33 digs in ERAU’s three matches at the NAIA National Tournament Final Site (Nov. 27-29)…finished career with 1,501 kills, third-most in program history…recorded 354 blocks (31 solo) in her four-year career, the second-best total in Embry-Riddle history…tallied 202 service aces in her career, ranking fourth on the all-time list in school history.

As a Junior in 2011: Appeared in 35 matches, playing in 115 of 120 sets…named to The Sun Conference All-Conference team for the second straight season…received AVCA NAIA All-Southeast Region Honorable Mention recognition…ended the season ranked in the top 10 in 12 statistical categories, including kills (1027, 5th), service aces (168, 5th), total blocks (260, 3rd) and points (1339.5, 4th)…led the conference in service aces (59) for the second straight year…also ranked in the top-five in the conference in total blocks (99, 3rd), kills (361, 3rd) and hitting percentage (.262, 4th)…recorded five double-doubles throughout the season, including a season-high 22-kill, 13-dig effort in a 3-1 victory over Spring Hill at the NAIA National Tournament Final Site (Nov. 30)… averaged 14.4 kills and 9.2 digs in ERAU’s five matches at the NAIA National Tournament Final Site (Nov. 29-Dec. 2)…registered career-high 23 digs to go along with 19 kills in a 3-2 loss to No. 1 Texas at Brownsville (Sept. 16)…tied season-high in kills (22) and added 14 digs in five-set win over Flagler (Sept. 21).

As a Sophomore in 2010: One of six Eagles named to the All-Conference team…appeared in 124 of ERAU’s 125 sets…led the conference with 62 service aces and ranked third with 358 kills…also ranked in the top-15 in the conference in hitting percentage (.218, 11th), blocks (104, 7th) and digs (274, 12th)…recorded six service aces in 3-0 win over Oregon Tech (Aug. 21), highest single-game total for the Eagles in 2010…tallied season-high 18 kills and .600 hitting percentage in 3-1 win over Southern Oregon (Aug. 20)…registered season-high six blocks in 3-0 win over St. Thomas (Sept. 17)…recorded three double-doubles, including 15 kills, five blocks and 14 digs in 3-2 win at USC Aiken (Oct. 2)…notched season-best 19 digs in final match of the season, a 3-1 loss to Point Loma Nazarene at the NAIA National Championships (Dec. 3).

As a Freshman in 2009: Put together one of the most successful freshman campaigns in ERAU history…named The Sun Conference Newcomer of the Year …played in 29 of the Eagles’ 32 matches (96 sets)…ranked first on the team in service aces with 47 (fifth in the league)…pounded out 308 kills, 203 digs, 57 blocks and 10 assists on the season…had 18 kills in each match against SCAD (Sept. 25), Indiana Wesleyan (Oct. 24) and Evangel (Sept. 4)…paced Embry-Riddle with 17 kills, two aces, 10 digs and three blocks in a loss to Madonna (Sept. 5)…had 13 kills and nine digs in the Eagles’ semifinal win over Warner in The Sun Conference Tournament (Nov. 13).

Prep: A four-year letterwinner in volleyball under Head Coach Debby Wingard at Warner Christian Academy…Florida First Team All-State selection in 2007 and 2008…WCA’s Most Valuable Player award recipient in 2007 and 2008…named the Volusia County Player of the Year in both her junior and senior seasons…was the fourth runner-up for Florida’s Miss Volleyball in 2008…recorded 485 kills, 98 blocks and 150 aces in 2008…member of the 2008 Florida State 1A High School Volleyball Championship team…led her team in the championship game against Lake Worth Christian with 15 kills, two service aces and 11 digs…played two years of club volleyball for The Volleyball Academy.
 
Personal: The daughter of Beth and Jack Holcomb…majoring in Business…aided less fortunate families in El Salvador while traveling with a mission trip group through White Chapel Church of God in 2008.
